Patreon Changes
Added 2017-12-08 21:17:02 +0000 UTCI'm sure most of you are aware of the payment changes Patreon has set in motion, and how they're unfair to smaller donations (under $5) in particular. I'd like to go on record saying I'm staunchly against this move by the company and am among the majority of artists on here lobbying against it. If you feel that your contributions here aren't realistic or feasible but still wish to support me, you are welcome to Paypal https://www.paypal.me/DresdenCodak directly.
That being said, I'm not going anywhere and I'll still be providing all of you great people with lots of Patreon content. In fact, we have some big changes coming to the page and will be offering much more bang for your buck. Without your support here I quite literally would be out of business, and I can't thank all of you enough for making Dresden Codak possible for another year!

Continuing to support your work as much as I can, including flogging friends and relations into reading your amazing vision our future. As far as the few changes go -- with a nod to the unnecessary upset that Patreon has caused -- we all need to understand that the fiscal idiocies of the millennium are cutting into the value of the dollar, which means that we supporters need to cut back on the lattes and support the artists who matter with more of our discretionary coins. Thanks for your work!

Hopefully with all the bad press (and unanimous backlash from creators and supporters alike), they'll roll back these changes. I and a lot of creators are already seeing a significant drop in revenue, and it's no fun for you folks either.

2017-12-08 23:47:29 +0000 UTCI'll keep supporting you, even with the extra fee. It's bullshit but I don't think the creators should have to pay for Patreon's mistakes. I'm telling this to all my creators (except Jeph, let him wonder.)

2017-12-08 23:20:50 +0000 UTCI've emailed Patreon about this (irately but politely) and they're still sticking to the line that "this is all for the creators" even though *every single comment* from the creators I support has been negative. If they don't roll this back, I'll most certainly start donating via PayPal instead. Thanks for all your work- it is beautiful and has made me happier.
