320. Divine Power

Snow Empress gazed at the shattered mountain before her, her icy blue eyes momentarily blank before turning cold again.

She raised her delicate hand, ready to strike once more.

A chilling voice echoed through the remaining half of the cavern.
"If you don't want to die, stop now!"

But Snow Empress ignored the warning, gracefully lifting her crystalline hand above her head.

A gentle breeze stirred in her palm, transforming into a wild, swirling blizzard that gathered the shattered ice fragments into a storm.

Each snowflake became razor-sharp, and the mountain behind her visibly melted under the storm’s intensity.

Yet the storm couldn't touch Qian Renjue.

Snow Empress noticed this and frowned, her delicate fingers twitching.

Once again, Qian Renjue’s voice rang out.

"I urge you to stop. Before this divine power, all your attacks are futile."

Boom!

Snow Empress refused to heed his warnings, unleashing a violent snowstorm that instantly swallowed Qian Renjue.

She frowned, vaguely hearing the word "divine" amidst the storm’s howling winds.

Just as the blizzard was about to tear Qian Renjue apart, a sinister dark light erupted, causing the storm to explode.

A surge of overwhelming power blasted toward Snow Empress.

"What... How is this possible?!" Her eyes widened in shock.

She conjured walls of ice and layers of snow as barriers, but they shattered one after another. Before she could evade, the blast struck her hard.

With a muffled scream, she was flung backward, crashing into the remaining ice wall with a resounding crack.

The ice shattered, and she was partially embedded in it.

After a few breaths, Snow Empress struggled to stand, using the ice walls for support, her once-immaculate white dress in tatters.

Her bare shoulders and collarbone were exposed, her skin pale as snow, translucent and unblemished.

Breathing heavily, a trace of blood lingered at her lips. Her pure blue eyes now held a wary gaze as she looked at Qian Renjue.

"Human!" she shouted angrily.

As a naturally born fierce beast, her pride was no less than that of the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion.

It had been ages since she last felt pain. Her slender fingers gripped a chunk of ice, crushing it to powder.

"I warned you!"

"Is this First Class God Divine Power still not enough to make you calm down?" Qian Renjue's voice was as cold as ever, his blood-red eyes fixed on her, though he showed no interest in her exposed skin, only vigilance.

He, too, had a bit of blood at his lips; he could not yet fully wield the power of the divine power and had been affected by the blast.

Snow Empress's body gradually stilled, her gaze shifting back to the seated Qian Renjue.

Her eyes focused on a dark crystal in the air before his brow—a hexagonal, obsidian-like gemstone that radiated a malevolent aura, as though it could consume all light, unmoving but imposing.

"A First Class God Divine Power," she murmured softly, realizing the source of the danger she sensed.

"Earlier, you asked how I could help you. This is my answer."

Qian Renjue wiped the blood from his mouth, his crimson eyes locked on the bedraggled Snow Empress as he spoke coldly.

"When I achieve the rank of Titled Douluo, I’ll gradually unlock the God's Heart power, becoming a god. If you're willing to sacrifice yourself, I can ensure your survival and freedom."

With those words, a scroll appeared, ancient and covered in mystical symbols, filling the cave with a strange vitality.

The divine core beside it shivered, seemingly offended, before the scroll concealed its energy entirely.

Snow Empress looked at the silver-haired human seated before her, her gaze unfocused.

This human was on the path to godhood? Could he really save her with a sacrifice? She was filled with doubt.

As they stared each other down, the tumult of their earlier clash had already alerted the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion, whose presence they could now sense.

Both of them looked in the same direction. Qian Renjue frowned, and a mark on his brow glowed, retracting the divine mark.

He heard a fleeting, sinister laugh, but when he refocused, all was silent.

Qian Renjue looked at Snow Empress, speaking coldly, "Consider your decision carefully; I will return."

A dark vortex appeared, engulfing him and leaving no trace. Snow Empress stood silently in the icy crevice, gazing at the two broken ice sculptures he had left.

She muttered to herself that she preferred blondes over silver-haired humans.

Perhaps she owed him an apology.

As she staggered from the ice, she dropped her damaged dress.

"Sister!" called the Ice Emperor Scorpion, her voice full of concern as she entered the cave.

"Sister, who were you fighting?"

The Ice Emperor Scorpion rushed in, her form human but bearing green markings and lush green hair, her face full of worry as she saw the injured Snow Empress.

"Sister! You... who did this to you? Wait... this evil aura!"

"It’s similar to that human's... but he was only a Soul Saint. Even I could beat him..."

Snow Empress ignored her chatter, bending down to collect the shards of Qian Renjue’s ice sculpture.

She wasn’t ready to explain it yet.

"Bing'er, don’t worry; I’m fine. I’ll be healed soon."
