75. Threaten

Chen Xuan turned his head and noticed that two pieces of meat were missing from the skewers drying by the side. His expression changed instantly.

Those pieces were taken from the body of a silver dragon, a low-level magical beast known for its lustful nature.

The dragon’s eggs had a unique effect, something Chen Xuan had planned for Lin Dong to try out.

But while he stepped away for a moment, Yun Yun had grilled them—and both of them had eaten them!

“Uh… have you noticed anything strange?” Yun Yun asked quietly, her cheeks tinged with an unusual blush.

Chen Xuan looked up, surprised.

Yun Yun, who was usually dignified and graceful, now had flushed cheeks and slightly hazy eyes.

Her usually fair and slender neck was also reddening. He sighed and said, “Who told you to grill those?”

“I just wanted to try it since you were grilling everything,” Yun Yun replied, realizing there might be something unusual about the eggs.

Moments later, she started feeling something odd, her mind filling with scenes she found difficult to control.

“It was a silver dragon’s egg,” Chen Xuan said.

Realizing the eggs had unique effects after Chen Xuan's description, Yun Yun stomped her foot in frustration. “Why would you even have such a thing?”

“I was letting them dry. Why did you even touch them?”

“This isn’t good! Help me, quick!” Yun Yun had exhausted her energy practicing her combat skills earlier, leaving her unable to control the effects now taking over her mind and body.

“I’ll be fine; you handle it yourself,” Chen Xuan replied, shrugging.

He intended to leave, but Yun Yun, in desperation, reached out and hugged him tightly from behind.

“Don’t go!” she pleaded.

Chen Xuan tried to reason with her, but Yun Yun clung to him, clearly unwilling to let him go.

Her body quivered slightly, and Chen Xuan felt his own restraint slipping.

Before he knew it, Yun Yun's arm wrapped around his neck, her body pressing against his, a faint fragrance surrounding him.

He was overcome by her closeness and finally embraced her fully.

At that moment, Yun Yun’s eyes cleared a bit, and her face turned pale.

She forcefully pushed him away and declared, “If you dare to do anything, I swear I’ll… I’ll die!”

“Are you threatening me?”

“Consider it so,” she said, her voice trembling.

“Nobody can threaten me on my turf,” Chen Xuan replied.

He quickly summoned a protective energy barrier, picked Yun Yun up, and walked over to a nearby rock.

“What are you doing?” Yun Yun, mustering all her willpower, asked as he held her.

“What do you think?” he said, looking at her.

By the next morning, Chen Xuan awoke, stretching from the exhaustion of the night before, only to find a sword pressed against his neck.

Yun Yun, standing over him, looked both humiliated and furious.

“I know I can’t beat you,” she said coldly, “but…”

Before she could finish, she began summoning her remaining energy, raising her hand as if to end things herself.

In an instant, Chen Xuan grabbed her wrist.

“Why stop me?” she demanded, her voice full of resentment.

“If everyone acted this way after a situation like this, the underworld would be overcrowded,” he replied bluntly.

Yun Yun was embarrassed but understood his point.

Still, she couldn’t shake her shame and frustration.

Seeing this, Chen Xuan decided to let her go and added, “Alright, go ahead. If you’re really that determined, I won’t stop you. But if I ever make it to the Dou Qi Continent, I’ll be sure to wipe out the Yun Lan Sect first.”

“You wouldn’t dare!” Yun Yun, who had been resolved, was startled out of her despair.

“Oh, really? And who’s going to stop me?” Chen Xuan said indifferently.

Yun Yun’s face turned pale as she exclaimed, “How can you be like this?”

“Relax. Go on and die. I’ll take good care of your disciple, Nalan Yanran.”

“You…” Yun Yun’s face turned white, her hand tightening as her expression shifted from despair to anger.

Her resolve crumbled. She could leave everything behind—except for her sect.

She took a deep breath and said, “You promised to take me back to the Dou Qi Continent. If you break your promise, I won’t let it go!”

Chen Xuan lifted her chin, gazing at her trembling lashes and blushing face.

He raised his eyebrows and teased, “Not let it go? How, exactly? Like last night?”

“Y-You…” Remembering the night, Yun Yun’s face flushed red, like a ripe strawberry.
