The longstanding crisis that had troubled the Otsutsuki clan was dramatically resolved.
With Otsutsuki Tsukihime waving her hand to cast a rainbow, the signal to gather was received, and clan members began arriving at the location.
Uchiha Gin, Otsutsuki Tsukihime, and Otsutsuki Akemi stood beside a large sinkhole in a dense forest, peering down.
Beneath a crisscrossing array of rock pillars lay a crystal-clear pool, emitting a faint blue-green glow.
“Master Gin, please wait a moment; we’ll organize a farewell gathering for you.”
Otsutsuki Akemi, wearing a simple robe, looked at him with reluctance.
Her beautiful eyes hinted at her feelings, and her slightly downturned, rosy lips showed her disappointment. “Don’t worry! I, Uchiha Gin, known as Honest Lad, will make sure the path is clear for you.”
Uchiha Gin, sensing Otsutsuki Akemi's warm gaze, pretended not to notice and boldly patted his chest, reassuring them both.
While they were chatting, dozens of figures arrived one after another. The scent of various fragrances filled the air, making Uchiha Gin momentarily lightheaded. The newcomers were all white-haired women with delicate features, their white eyes filled with curiosity.
Seeing the only man present, the Otsutsuki women began to whisper among themselves.
Some bolder ones even cast flirtatious glances at Uchiha Gin, their desire nearly palpable.
“Silence!”
Seeing so many clan members eyeing Uchiha Gin, Otsutsuki Akemi felt a surge of annoyance. She released an overwhelming aura, making the more daring members lower their heads in slight fear.
“Ahem. This is Mr. Uchiha Gin, here on a mission from our ancestors to rescue the Otsutsuki clan and provide strong support for our revival plan,” Otsutsuki Tsukihime announced from a script, causing excitement among the clan members.
Seeing the gleam in the eyes of the women, Uchiha Gin was speechless.
“Hey, hey, what are you even saying?” he asked, looking at Tsukihime with disbelief.
“Huh? Isn’t it right?” Tsukihime checked her script again, her brows furrowed, her small nose twitching, looking genuinely puzzled.
After a moment, she seemed to understand, giving Gin a look of disdain. “Of course, someone with a dirty mind sees only dirt everywhere.”
This girl, I’ll definitely get back at her!
“In short, Mr. Uchiha Gin will help us open a path to the surface.” After rambling on, Tsukihime finally got to the main point.
Hearing this, the Otsutsuki clan members erupted with excitement, all lost in pleasant daydreams.
“Hehe, I saw plenty of handsome guys down there!”
“Hmph! I think even the older men have their charm!”
“Well, since we live so long, wouldn’t it be nice to raise a cute young boy?”
Hearing such bold comments, Uchiha Gin felt slightly overwhelmed.
However, he knew he couldn’t bear this “sweet burden” alone.
Most of these women, despite looking around thirty or forty, were actually over a hundred years old.
He couldn’t handle this and decided to leave it for others.
“Quiet! Quiet! Enough of this,” Tsukihime’s voice boomed, infusing her tone with chakra.
Her powerful aura made everyone snap out of their daydreams.
Once quiet, she continued, “To maintain decorum, the leadership has decided that Mr. Uchiha Gin will serve as our liaison and help establish an Otsutsuki office on the surface. Clan members will rotate to take turns there.”
This decision was passed by the clan leader and the elders with two votes in favor and none against.
“Any objections?”
Otsutsuki Akemi looked around coldly; everyone remained silent.
Satisfied, she smiled slightly and announced loudly, “Great, since everyone agrees, this plan is officially approved!”
Clap, clap, clap!
Although some clan members had complaints, they clapped along. “Then let’s send off Mr. Uchiha Gin! Once he opens the passage, everyone will get a chance to go down!”
With everyone’s enthusiastic support, Tsukihime stepped forward and raised her hands, signaling everyone to bid Uchiha Gin farewell.
“Mr. Gin, let’s have children together!”
“Gin, hurry up; I can’t wait any longer!”
Faced with the overwhelming enthusiasm of the Otsutsuki women, Uchiha Gin quickly fled, leaping down the sinkhole without looking back, landing near the pool.
Otsutsuki Akemi and Otsutsuki Tsukihime followed closely.
"Mr. Gin, please make sure to return," Otsutsuki Akemi said softly, her gaze tender as she looked at him, her full red lips pursed in worry.
"Of course," Gin replied. "I always keep my word. Constructing the portal might take some time, though. You could station someone here to monitor it, as there will be a signal once it's ready."
Gin formed hand seals as he recalled the instructions from Otsutsuki Hamura, explaining the process to Akemi.
Since neither of the women possessed the Sage of Six Paths’ genetic code, they couldn’t bypass the lock created by Otsutsuki Hagoromo’s seal.
They would have to wait for Gin to replace the lock, allowing the Otsutsuki clan to teleport to the surface.
However, the timing of the portal construction was uncertain—it might take a day or even a year.
"How will I find you then?" Akemi asked anxiously.
Gin thought for a moment. "I gave you a cloak, right? Do you have it with you?"
“Yes, I’ve kept it with me this whole time!” She immediately removed her outer robe, revealing a pure white cloak with golden embroidery that she had been wearing close to her skin. The cloak, pressed against her by her chest, rose with her breathing, creating a mesmerizing scene that made Gin swallow involuntarily.
“Just keep it with you,” he finally managed to say with great difficulty
Gin pulled a matching cloak from his bag, and with a flash of light, Akemi's cloak vanished, leaving her momentarily surprised.
But before she could fully react, Gin jumped into the pool, calling out, “Wear that necklace—it will let me sense you. Once you’re on the earth, I’ll find you immediately.”
As Gin left abruptly, Akemi, who still had much to say, slowly lowered her hand.
A hint of sadness clouded her face as she wondered when they would meet again.
"Oh? This necklace has such a strong life aura!” remarked Tsukihime, who had noticed the blue necklace nestled in Akemi's collar, her eyes full of envy.
She rushed to the poolside and called out to the water, “Hey, hey! What about me, Gin? Wait for me!”
Clutching the necklace, Akemi's longing intensified, and her determination strengthened. Gin, meanwhile, activated the teleportation spell Hamura had taught him.
Instead of feeling suffocated underwater, he found himself spinning within a vortex, pulled by a powerful force that left him dizzy and nauseous.
After about ten minutes, the pulling sensation faded, replaced by a suffocating feeling and icy water surrounding him.
Startled, Gin opened his eyes and saw a bright, full moon reflected on the water’s surface. Relieved, he began to rise but felt something hard beneath his foot.
Glancing down, he saw a black longsword embedded in the water’s teleportation seal—the Heart Sword, a relic of the Sage of Six Paths.
“Let’s see if I can pull it out this time,” Gin thought, looking at the unassuming black blade. He focused his chakra, red light flashing in his eyes, and enhanced his strength, channeling energy from each chakra source in his body. His figure shimmered in multiple colors like a disco ball, and he strained as a dark silhouette formed behind him.
Under the combined power, the ancient sword began to loosen slightly.
“It’s working!”
Gin increased his chakra flow, his eyes’ three tomoe spinning into a triangular pattern, and the shadow behind him grew more defined.
Just then, a voice echoed from the void, “Oh? That’s Hagoromo’s sword. If this kid wants it, let’s give him a hand~.”
