467. Kneel

After a round of explanations, even after understanding the situation, Xiao Wu remained firm.

"We’re still in the right, no matter what!"

"Even so, that doesn’t justify him forcing a girl," Xiao Wu said, hands on her hips and frowning.

Dai Mubai also understood that Ma Hongjun’s behavior was out of line. Things should have ended amicably, but Ma Hongjun had made it a disgraceful mess. For someone like Cuìhuā, a village girl, he shouldn’t have been so clingy and demanding.

Dai Mubai glanced at Ma Hongjun with disdain before apologizing to Cuìhuā.

"Miss Cuìhuā, I’m sorry for what you’ve been through. On behalf of the Fatty, I apologize."

Cuìhuā gently shook her head, handing the now-recovered Ma Hongjun over to Dai Mubai.

"Hongjun, you’re a good person. Let’s part ways on good terms. Goodbye."

With that, Cuìhuā turned and ran off, leaving Ma Hongjun behind.

This time, Ma Hongjun didn’t move or say a word. Even if he wanted to stop her, he was in no condition to do so. He could only glare resentfully at Zhu Zhuqing.

The pain in his groin was still intense, and his bloodied face was pale and sorrowful.

"Boss, you’ve got to help me get revenge!" he wailed.

"Revenge?"

Zhu Zhuqing tilted her head, her eyes filled with amusement as she looked at Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun.

Dai Mubai’s face darkened, clearly displeased. He already found Ma Hongjun’s behavior repulsive, and now it was even worse.

"Fatty, what kind of brother are you?" Dai Mubai scolded. "Are you trying to send me to my death? Don’t you remember me mentioning that our academy has a Soul Elder now?"

"What? You mean…!" Ma Hongjun’s beady eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Zhu Zhuqing.

"If you want revenge, go ahead and try," Zhu Zhuqing said coldly, looking down at Ma Hongjun. She raised a hand and crooked her finger mockingly.

Beneath her, four soul rings hovered in a brilliant display.

"Gulp—"

Ma Hongjun couldn’t help but swallow hard. He hadn’t even noticed earlier that Zhu Zhuqing was a Soul Elder with such an incredible configuration!

Her figure, standing against the sunlight, cast a shadow over him, sending chills down his spine. He shook his head repeatedly, forcing out a smile uglier than crying.

"Ha-ha… I-I was just joking earlier."

"You’d better be."

Zhu Zhuqing’s gaze was icy, and her clawed fingers flicked menacingly as she warned, "If you dare to harass anyone again, I’ll make sure you regret it."

"Ha-ha… Yes, yes! I won’t bother Cuìhuā again—I promise!" Ma Hongjun, sweating profusely, nodded frantically.

"Tch, such a coward," Ning Rongrong muttered, rolling her eyes in boredom.

As the commotion settled, Tang San, unable to hold back any longer, spoke in a hoarse voice.

"Zhu Zhuqing."

"Hmm?"

At the sound of his voice, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, Dai Mubai, and even Ma Hongjun turned to look at Tang San.

His bloodshot eyes were fixed intently on Zhu Zhuqing, completely ignoring the surprised and curious gazes around him.

"Can we talk privately?"

"Sure," Zhu Zhuqing replied calmly, withdrawing her martial spirit without hesitation.

"Follow me then," Tang San said in a low voice before turning to walk away.

"Hey, Tang Xiao San! What are you up to, calling Zhuqing over like that?" Xiao Wu called out, confused.

Tang San forced a gentle smile as he turned back to explain. "Xiao Wu, I just have a few questions to ask her."

Under Dai Mubai’s watchful gaze, Zhu Zhuqing followed behind Tang San without a second thought, gradually walking away from the group.

"Xiao Wu, I’ll explain later," Tang San said, his tone restless as he quickened his pace to catch up to Zhu Zhuqing.

"This guy..." Xiao Wu pouted but had a hunch that Tang San might get himself into trouble.

Ning Rongrong, however, had her suspicions. She vividly remembered Tang San’s devastated expression yesterday when Zhu Zhuqing used an hidden weapon during a confrontation.

"Boss, that kid—is he the one with the two white soul rings?" Ma Hongjun, struggling to stand, asked.

"That’s right," Dai Mubai replied, nodding as he watched Tang San and Zhu Zhuqing come to a stop in the distance, his curiosity piqued.

This woman has changed so much!

Her strength is utterly terrifying.

“This spot will do,” Zhu Zhuqing said after walking a dozen steps. She stopped and turned back to look at Tang San.

Tang San frowned slightly but nodded in agreement.
“Alright.”

“Go ahead, ask what you want to know.”

Zhu Zhuqing's expression remained calm, a stark contrast to the disheveled and frantic Tang San.

“Zhu Zhuqing…”

Tang San took a deep breath, gritting his teeth and glaring at her. He asked bluntly,
“Where did you learn the hidden weapons and techniques you're using?”

“Heh.”

Zhu Zhuqing chuckled softly but didn’t answer.

Tang San grew anxious, his gaze fixed on Zhu Zhuqing as he pressed her excitedly.
“Speak! Tell me where they came from!”

“Your name is Tang San, right?”

Zhu Zhuqing didn’t respond directly but instead asked him mockingly.

“…”

Tang San’s expression froze, his brow furrowed tightly, and unease filled his heart.

“Heh, I never expected this…”

Zhu Zhuqing chuckled lightly, crossing her arms as she scrutinized Tang San from head to toe.

Her lips curved into a faint smile, and she spoke in a chilling tone:
“I can’t believe someone who supposedly died by jumping off Hell’s Abyss didn’t actually perish.”

“W-what?!”

Tang San’s pupils constricted sharply, his face instantly going pale, and terror filled his eyes.

She knew. She knew his past!

And the fact that she mentioned also surviving implied that Zhu Zhuqing might have come to this world the same way he did.

Impossible!

Tang San’s mind was in complete disarray, and he stammered uncontrollably.
“W-who… who are you?”

“Kneel!”

Zhu Zhuqing’s voice turned icy as she barked the command at him.

“What?”

Tang San was stunned, still trying to understand.
“Who are you?!”

Without answering, Zhu Zhuqing took out a token, her beautiful eyes filled with murderous intent, and her tone turned cold as steel.

“I said… kneel before me!”

“A… Tang Sect Elder’s token?!”

Tang San stumbled backward in shock, his eyes wide with disbelief.

“Who exactly are you—"

“I told you to kneel! Didn’t you hear me?!”

Zhu Zhuqing lost all patience.

Before her words fully landed, her eyes emitted a flash of purple-gold light that struck straight into Tang San’s mind.

“Urgh!”

Tang San groaned in pain as his face turned ghastly pale. Terror filled his eyes, his head throbbed violently, and his consciousness blurred.

Under the oppressive pressure of Zhu Zhuqing’s Soul Elder aura, his knees buckled, and he fell to the ground.

“Gulp…”

From afar, Ma Hongjun swallowed nervously, unable to control his fear.
“This is way too brutal…”

“What’s going on?”

Dai Mubai was completely baffled.
“How did Tang San just kneel like that? Isn’t that too weak?”

“Xiao Wu…”

Ning Rongrong furrowed her delicate brows and tugged lightly at the sleeve of the gleeful Xiao Wu beside her.

“Hm?”

Xiao Wu blinked at Ning Rongrong before realizing what was happening. She cried out in shock and started running toward Tang San.

“Tang Xiao San!”

Hearing her voice, Tang San turned his head urgently and raised a trembling hand to stop her, his face a mixture of panic and fear.

“Xiao Wu, don’t… don’t come over here!”

Xiao Wu froze, her hand gripping her clothing tightly, pinching her thigh in nervousness. Tears welled up in her eyes, and her voice quivered with a sob.

“Tang San…”
