473. Weak Academy

The man and woman wearing bamboo hats were none other than the siblings Qian Renxue and Qian Renjue.

Their presence seemed to divide the Shrek faction into two distinct sides. Yet, the aura surrounding Qian Renxue subtly silenced the area.

Apart from Qian Renjue, no one else seemed to notice the change.

Ye Zhiqiu hesitated for a moment, uncertain about the capabilities of Dai Mubai and his group, and refrained from acting impulsively.

He motioned for his students to take their seats.
“Order some food!”

Qian Renjue tapped on the table, prompting a waiter to approach and take their orders.

“Hmph, hiding your true selves,” Dai Mubai sneered, casting a glance at Qian Renjue and his companions.

The others seated nearby also turned curious gazes toward the siblings, as people dressed in such a manner were rare in places like this, mostly frequented by soul hunters.

The three women, Zhu Zhuqing among them, couldn’t help but feel a sense of familiarity.

Oscar, sitting next to Tang San, smirked mischievously, his peach blossom eyes glinting with glee.
“Heh, there’s going to be a good show soon.”

Hearing this, Tang San didn’t respond immediately, but Xiao Wu’s eyes sparkled with curiosity.
“A good show? Where? What is it?” she asked excitedly.

Oscar smiled and whispered to Tang San, “The Dean once said, ‘Anyone who’s afraid to stir up trouble is mediocre.’”

“Oh?” Tang San raised an eyebrow in surprise and couldn’t help but laugh.
“The Dean really knows how to come up with such iconic lines. Truly worthy of running the Monster Academy.”

Zhu Zhuqing arched her elegant brows. She hadn’t specifically memorized it, but she knew the Tang Sect’s Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record emphasized not provoking unnecessary trouble.

“Heh,” came a cold chuckle from the neighboring table.

“Jue, weren’t you here to find spirit beasts?” Qian Renxue teased, her veil fluttering gently as she sipped her fragrant tea.

“Yes, primarily to find spirit beasts,” Qian Renjue replied calmly with a nod.

The siblings’ gazes were fixed on Tang San and his group. Qian Renjue looked amused, while Qian Renxue’s eyes were icy.

“Before finding spirit beasts, why not have a little fun? A side quest, if you will,” Qian Renjue said softly.

“Indeed. Right now, I’m in the mood to hit someone,” Qian Renxue murmured, her eyes narrowing as she glanced at Dai Mubai, who had spoken rudely earlier.

Qian Renjue chuckled lightly.
“Let’s wait until the food arrives.”

“What’s the matter? Doesn’t the noise bother you?”

“Just think of it as watching a monkey show. After all, we’ve got nothing better to do,” Qian Renjue shrugged without elaborating further.

Their conversation wasn’t particularly loud, but it was quiet enough not to be overheard.

At the neighboring table, Dai Mubai, emboldened by the silence from the Blue Sunshine Academy group, became even more aggressive.

Zhu Zhuqing frowned and cautioned, “We’re about to hunt soul beasts. It’s best not to create unnecessary trouble.”

Oscar chuckled mischievously.
“Don’t worry, Zhuqing. Picking on soul master academies is the safest bet. If anything happens, I’ll take full responsibility!”

Dai Mubai glanced at Zhu Zhuqing with a smirk and continued arrogantly, “Blue Sunshine Academy… a bunch of spineless cowards!”

“Haha! Boss Dai is absolutely right,” Ma Hongjun chimed in with a laugh.
“What cowards. But that little girl over there—she might make for good breeding stock!”

His rat-like whiskers twitched as he chuckled lecherously, his expression utterly vile.

Zhu Zhuqing’s frown deepened. Responsibility? Did Dai Mubai even have the ability to take responsibility? When had he ever done so before? The word coming from him sounded like a bad joke.

Bang!

Before Ma Hongjun could finish his vulgar remark, the students of Blue Sunshine Academy slammed their hands on the table, their killing intent palpable as they shouted,
“Brats! Who are you calling spineless?”

"Whoever reacts is who I’m talking about," Ma Hongjun shrugged dismissively, his face full of indifference.

"Haha, exactly! Whoever reacts is the coward!" Dai Mubai felt smug. He was confident he had these pushovers from Blue Sunshine Academy under his thumb.

Ning Rongrong glanced at Ma Hongjun and the others, her eyes filled with disdain.
Such bullies—picking on the weak while claiming it’s safer to provoke soul master academies.

Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun’s behavior had already infuriated Ye Zhiqiu to the point where his face twisted with rage.

"Teacher!"
The leading youth from Blue Sunshine Academy could no longer bear it and turned to Ye Zhiqiu, seeking permission to teach Dai Mubai and his group a lesson.

Ye Zhiqiu didn’t respond immediately. Rising from his seat, he questioned:
"Which academy are you students from?!"

"Heh," Dai Mubai sneered.

As expected of students from a formal academy, they were hesitant to make a move, constrained by their reputation. Realizing this, Dai Mubai grew even more arrogant, smirking with a crooked grin.

"You’re not worthy of knowing."

"Crunch, crunch..."
Ma Hongjun, utterly unbothered, casually munched on his food, smacking his lips. He paid no attention to Ye Zhiqiu and his students, treating them as air.

Veins bulged on Ye Zhiqiu’s forehead, his face flushed red with anger. Even someone as patient as him had reached his limit. With a wave of his hand, he issued the command:
"Such arrogant brats—teach them a proper lesson!"

"Understood! Everyone, let’s go!"

The six youths accompanying Ye Zhiqiu immediately responded, striding toward Dai Mubai aggressively.

"Ah!"
"Xiao San, let’s join in!"

Xiao Wu jumped to her feet. To Ning Rongrong’s shocked gasp, she stepped on the table, preparing to leap into action and dominate the battlefield.

"Xiao Wu, you all should stay seated—let us handle this," Tang San quickly stopped her, standing up to take responsibility.

"Fine," Xiao Wu pouted, secretly delighted. She figured Tang San might get beaten up again, which she found amusing.

However, the six youths from Blue Sunshine Academy turned out to be weak.

Apart from the leader, who was at level 27, and a female student who had just broken through to level 30, the others were all below level 25. Their martial souls were unimpressive—spears, tridents, sheep, horses, and deer. Their spirit ring configurations were uniformly one white and one yellow.

"Haha," Dai Mubai laughed wildly.
"What a trash academy, even with white spirit rings!"

Tang San’s smile stiffened at those words, his expression growing somber.
White equals trash, huh? It seems I’ll need to make some changes.

He chose not to act further. Bringing out his two white rings would only invite ridicule.

Dai Mubai shouted, "Fatty, unleash your martial soul and show them what we’ve got!"

As his voice fell, Dai Mubai activated his martial soul.
"White Tiger Possession!"

"Heh heh, Phoenix Possession!" Ma Hongjun cackled triumphantly, following suit.

The sound of a tiger’s roar and a chicken’s crow rang out. The moment the Tiger and Chicken duo activated their martial souls, the opposing group’s expressions changed drastically.

Even Ye Zhiqiu felt a pang of unease.
Who are these kids’ teachers?!
Such young Spirit Elders with standard spirit ring configurations—this is no ordinary academy.

Meanwhile, Oscar clutched a few sausages, ready for emergencies. His gaze wandered toward Ning Rongrong, his thoughts rippling. Noble girls really are beautiful.

"Rongrong, aren’t you going to help?"

"Hmm?" Ning Rongrong snapped out of her thoughts, retracting her gaze from Qian Renzhi. She looked at Oscar and replied,
"Why should I?"
