485. Unparalled Beauty

"Tang San!"

Zhao Wuji shouted, his eyes filled with a mix of shock and horror as he looked at the blood-soaked figure lying in the pool of blood.

He quickly moved closer to check if Tang San was alive or dead.

"Ah! Zhuqing..."

Ning Rongrong gasped at the sight of Tang San's injuries, almost letting out a scream. Instinctively, she turned and buried herself in Zhu Zhuqing's chest for comfort.

"Gulp~"

Ma Hongjun's chubby face turned pale as he swallowed nervously. "T-this... was he gutted alive?"

Oscar looked equally shaken, and even Dai Mubai struggled to keep his gaze on Tang San.

Tang San’s condition was truly harrowing. He lay motionless on the ground, his torso split open and flesh mangled. Fresh blood continued to pour from his gaping wounds.

Despite her exhaustion, Zhu Zhuqing maintained her cool demeanor. She gently cradled Ning Rongrong in her arms, though she couldn't help but frown at Tang San's miserable state.

Amid the thick scent of blood, Zhu Zhuqing detected a faint, lingering fragrance—one that reminded her of Sister Yin.

Was this Sister Yin's doing?

Zhu Zhuqing stroked Ning Rongrong's hair, pondering. She had never imagined that Sister Yin, who seemed so gentle and delicate, could be so ruthless.

"Ugh—cough!"

Just as Zhao Wuji turned Tang San over, Tang San desperately made a noise, blood trickling from his mouth and nose.

"Holy crap! He’s still alive!" Ma Hongjun exclaimed, his beady eyes widening in disbelief.

Startled, Dai Mubai gave Ma Hongjun a swift kick, scolding, "You idiot, stop yelling like that!"

"Ouch!" Ma Hongjun yelped, clutching his rear.

"Enough! Stop messing around!" Zhao Wuji barked, his expression grim. "This place reeks of blood. Stay alert and keep watch!"

He turned to Oscar. "Xiao Ao, hurry up! Feed him one of your sausages!"

"Yes, Teacher Zhao!" Oscar quickly retrieved a sausage from his clothing and rushed toward Tang San.

Like a sword swallower, he carefully fed the sausage into Tang San’s throat.

"Mmph!"

Tang San’s eyes rolled back, and his legs twitched weakly.

Meanwhile, Ning Rongrong lifted her head from Zhu Zhuqing’s chest, curiosity replacing her earlier fear. She stared at Tang San's pitiful state, her mind racing.

What could Tang San have done to offend her Holy Son brother to be tortured like this?

Then again, her Holy Son brother was clearly careless—he hadn’t finished the job.

As his fiancée, she had to support him. Should she find an opportunity to finish off Tang San herself?

Ning Rongrong’s bright eyes gleamed with cunning as she glanced at Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun, who were busy keeping watch.

Resting her chin on Zhu Zhuqing's chest, she whispered, "Zhuqing~"

"What is it, Rongrong?" Zhu Zhuqing, slightly out of breath from Ning Rongrong’s weight, looked at her with a faint blush on her otherwise calm face.

"Zhuqing, should we find a way to kill Tang San?" Ning Rongrong asked softly, her words dripping with malice despite her gentle and noble appearance.

"..."

Zhu Zhuqing froze for a moment, surprised by Ning Rongrong’s suggestion. She had never expected the usually sweet and harmless-looking girl to harbor such thoughts.

It was almost like Sister Yin’s hidden ruthlessness.

Did all the women around their teacher have a penchant for such contrasts?

"Zhuqing?" Ning Rongrong tilted her head, pressing closer for an answer.

Zhu Zhuqing snapped out of her thoughts, shaking her head gently. "Rongrong, Teacher sent us to save him."

"Wh-what?!" Ning Rongrong sat upright in shock, leaving her chest bouncing slightly.

"Hmm?" Dai Mubai glanced back at Ning Rongrong, frowning in hesitation before deciding to ignore her.

Ning Rongrong covered her red lips, withdrawing her gaze from glaring at Dai Mubai. She turned to Zhu Zhuqing with confusion and asked, "Why is that?"

"I don’t know either," Zhu Zhuqing replied helplessly. She was just following orders.

Ning Rongrong frowned, her face scrunched up in frustration. "Then, did Holy Son Brother say when he would come to see us?"

Zhu Zhuqing silently shook her head. She was curious and eagerly wanted to know but hesitated to ask.

Ning Rongrong, however, had no such reservations. Hugging Zhu Zhuqing’s arm, she gently swayed it, pleading, "How about you ask him, Zhuqing? You can say it’s me who wants to know. What do you think?"

After a moment’s hesitation, Zhu Zhuqing nodded. She stroked her slender figure lightly, pondering her phrasing, before deciding to approach it differently.

"Teacher, when will Xiao Wu be sent back?"

Seeing Ning Rongrong’s hopeful eyes, Zhu Zhuqing felt it might not be good to leave her hanging. Softly, she added, "Rongrong said she misses Xiao Wu."

Soon, Qian Renjue’s voice echoed in her mind. Zhu Zhuqing’s face lit up with joy.

Ning Rongrong, barely able to contain her excitement, whispered eagerly, "Zhuqing, what did he say? What did he say?"

Zhu Zhuqing raised her head, her voice soft as she replied, "Teacher said Xiao Wu will be sent back before noon."

"Xiao Wu? What’s the point of sending Xiao Wu back?" Ning Rongrong asked curiously.

Zhu Zhuqing suddenly felt a pang of guilt and found herself at a loss for words.

While Tang San was busy wolfing down sausages, not far from him, Tang Hao was similarly preoccupied. His actions, however, were far messier and involved separate tasks.

In the core area of the Star Dou Forest, by the Lake of Life, the scene was serene. From above, the lake looked like a massive pearl embedded in a sea of green, radiating brilliance and surrounded by vibrant life.

Xiao Wu had already arrived home and was sitting by the lake. Her delicate feet played in the water as she rested her chin on her hands, waiting patiently.

Beside her, the towering Titan Giant Ape squatted, scratching its head impatiently and letting out low growls.

"Roar~"

Annoyed, Xiao Wu turned her head, grabbed a handful of grass, and threw it at Er Ming. She scolded, "Er Ming, stop rushing! The Holy Son will be here soon. Don’t make a scene when he arrives."

"Look at Da Ming. He’s behaving so well!"

As she spoke, Xiao Wu gestured toward the Azure Bull Python, whose massive serpentine body, many times thicker than a barrel, loomed above the lake’s surface with a bull-like head.

It remained still, exuding a calm demeanor.

"Roar~"

Er Ming let out a deep protest toward his elder brother, clearly unhappy about welcoming a human.

But Da Ming ignored him. Its massive bull eyes shifted toward Xiao Wu’s side, where a black vortex began to spread. The familiar power within it caught its attention.

From the vortex emerged two tall figures. The Evil God Hook swayed ominously as they stepped forward.

"Holy Son!" Xiao Wu exclaimed in excitement, leaping toward Qian Renjue’s arms.

Qian Renxue raised her eyebrows slightly, a playful glint in her eyes. With a light step, she intercepted Xiao Wu, spreading her arms wide.

"Ah! Miss Xue!"

Recognizing the beautiful face before her, Xiao Wu was startled and couldn’t stop her momentum. She crashed fearfully into Qian Renxue’s embrace.

Clinging to her neck and wrapping her arms tightly around her waist, Xiao Wu caused the buffer zone between them to tremble constantly.

"Heh, do I look that scary?" Qian Renxue teased, her expression slightly flushed as she held Xiao Wu around the waist.

"No, no! Miss Xue is unparalleled in beauty!" Xiao Wu shook her head like a drum, hurriedly offering a heartfelt compliment.
