502. Rebellious Disciple

At the lakeside of the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Forest, half an hour had passed before Qian Renjue’s figure reappeared beside Zhu Zhuqing.

Ling Yuan quickly noticed and hurried to his side.

"Teacher~" Zhu Zhuqing softly called, her voice full of affection.

"Mm," Qian Renjue responded gently, reaching out to flick her cat ears as he reminded her,
"Later, I'll take you all back to the hotel. Don’t slack off in your cultivation at Shrek Academy."

"Zhuqing will work hard!" Zhu Zhuqing declared confidently, her eyes fixed on Qian Renjue as she searched for an opportunity.

"Xiao Wu, Rongrong, hurry over here!" Qian Renjue called out to the two girls who were playing by the lakeside.

"Ah! His Highness the Holy Son is back!"

The playful rabbit girl, Xiao Wu, reacted immediately, rushing toward him.

"Brother Holy Son~" Ning Rongrong followed, barefoot as she ran swiftly across the grass, her shoes in hand.

The two girls reached him one after another, clinging to Qian Renjue’s arms.

Zhu Zhuqing’s eyes lit up, her cheeks flushed, and an idea formed in her mind.

"Stop! You two, stop clinging," Qian Renjue said helplessly, scolding the two girls.

He glanced at Ning Rongrong and instructed, "Rongrong, put your shoes on."

"Got it~ I’ll put them on now!" Ning Rongrong replied sweetly, crouching down to comply.

"Geez~" Xiao Wu continued to hug his arm, adjusting her hold in a playful rhythm that added a slight bounce.

Qian Renjue shot her a glare but couldn’t help comparing her behavior.

At least Rongrong stays still—it’s more comfortable.

Before long, Ning Rongrong stood up, joining Xiao Wu on Qian Renjue’s left and right sides, while Ling Yuan tugged at his sleeve to stay close.

"Zhuqing, let’s go," Ning Rongrong said, extending her hand toward Zhu Zhuqing without putting on the airs of a senior disciple.

"Mm," Zhu Zhuqing nodded, stepping forward gracefully.

Whoosh!

As Qian Renjue activated his Evil God Hook and prepared a soul bone skill for teleportation, Zhu Zhuqing suddenly quickened her pace.

She deliberately collided into his arms, stood on tiptoe, and, with a premeditated move, tilted her face upward and kissed him.

Qian Renjue’s pupils constricted, momentarily stunned.

"Ah—Zhuqing!"

A shocked cry from Ning Rongrong echoed as the black vortex swallowed everyone, leaving only rippling water by the Lake of Life.

The strange pressure from the lake drove away all spirit beasts, leaving it uninhabited.

---

Light and shadow alternated as the teleportation only lasted a moment.

But for Zhu Zhuqing, that brief moment felt like an eternity of torment.

Ning Rongrong’s startled scream brought her back to reality.

She had been so focused on expressing her gratitude and devotion that she hadn’t considered the aftermath.

But soon, she dismissed her hesitation.

Since I’ve already tasted it, I might as well find out what it’s like!

In the quiet room of the inn, Qian Renjue and the others reappeared.

No one dared to speak. The atmosphere was heavy with tension.

Ling Yuan’s eyes were filled with shock. She had always known Zhu Zhuqing had the potential to be rebellious, but she hadn’t expected such boldness.

Ning Rongrong, on the other hand, bit her lip in a mix of anger and disbelief.

What is this?! Right in front of me, his fiancée, and even his teacher—how dare she make a move?!

Xiao Wu, however, was the calmest of them all.

She had already experienced similar situations. After all, she and the Holy Son had even bathed together before.

Qian Renjue looked down at the flushed face of Zhu Zhuqing, her lips still trembling and her petite body quivering against his.

The shock in his eyes slowly faded as he began to compose himself.

"Mm—!"

Zhu Zhuqing hastily pulled away, stepping back unsteadily, her head bowed.

She wiped her lips in a panic and stammered,
"I-I’m sorry, Teacher!"

"Zhuqing… Zhuqing didn’t know what to give you as a gift… so… this was the only thing I could think of," Zhu Zhuqing stammered nervously.

Ning Rongrong looked at Qian Renjue with teary eyes, clearly feeling wronged.

"..."

Qian Renjue was at a loss, overwhelmed by the situation. Awkwardly, he pulled his hands out of the girls’ embrace and wiped his mouth, unsure of what to say as he faced Zhu Zhuqing.

After a moment of hesitation, he spoke, his voice somewhat stiff:
"Zhuqing, it’s a teacher’s duty to guide and nurture their students. There’s no need for such extravagant ‘gifts.’"

"This cannot happen again, understand?"

"Mm, Zhuqing understands!" Zhu Zhuqing bowed her head deeply, unable to meet anyone’s gaze, and finally felt a slight relief in her breathing.

"Ahem."

"Alright, let’s leave it at that. I need to go now. Let’s stay in touch," Qian Renjue said, eager to escape the awkwardness. He wasn’t sure how to respond or what punishment, if any, was appropriate, so he decided to leave quickly.

"Rongrong, if you plan to go home, let me know in time."

"I will, Holy Son Brother," Ning Rongrong replied, her voice tinged with disappointment. She took a step forward, intending to help Qian Renjue clean up, but before she could act, he was already overwhelmed by the atmosphere.

Grabbing Ling Yuan’s delicate hand, Qian Renjue activated his Evil God’s Heart skill.

"That’s all for now. I’ll visit you when I have time!"

Before his words fully settled, Qian Renjue’s figure disappeared from sight.

"Ah!" Ning Rongrong felt like screaming. Her frustration was palpable.

Meanwhile, Xiao Wu walked up to Zhu Zhuqing, bent down to examine her flushed and overheated face, and teased,
"Haha, Zhuqing, don’t worry. The Holy Son won’t get mad at you."

"Mm~" Zhu Zhuqing’s cheeks burned, her body covered in a fine layer of sweat she hadn’t noticed before. Slowly, she straightened up.

Ning Rongrong, hands on her hips, glared at Zhu Zhuqing angrily, her voice sharp.
"Zhuqing!"

"..."

Zhu Zhuqing hesitated, looking at the fuming Ning Rongrong before deciding to calm her down. Her lips trembled as she softly called,
"Teacher's wife…"

The words fell like a bomb. Zhu Zhuqing’s heart raced with a strange thrill at saying them aloud.

"You—don’t call me that!" Ning Rongrong shouted, flustered.

"Really?" Zhu Zhuqing’s eyes brightened as if misunderstanding her words. She quickly assured her,
"Don’t worry, Rongrong! You’ll be the first wife, and I’ll take the second position."

"What?! Zhuqing, you—!" Ning Rongrong stuttered, unable to process the turn of events.

Her only response was the barely audible sound of Zhu Zhuqing swallowing nervously.
"Gulp~"

As Ning Rongrong stared, dumbfounded, at Zhu Zhuqing, the latter tilted her head, seemingly lost in thought, and mumbled,
"Why does it taste a bit like milk?"

Zhu Zhuqing furrowed her brows, lowering her head as she reflected, completely ignoring the chaos she had caused.

"Rongrong, as the fiancée, you should know…"

"What?! How is this my fault?!" Ning Rongrong’s voice rose in indignation.

"Haha," Xiao Wu chuckled, completely unbothered by the tension, and said decisively,
"It must have been that little troublemaker who tasted it first!"

"Was it Teacher's junior sister?" Zhu Zhuqing asked, recalling something as she nodded slightly. The scent did seem like Hu Liena’s.

"Ah! You’re all too much!" Ning Rongrong finally snapped, clutching her hair in frustration.

But after venting, she could only accept the reality before her with a defeated sigh.

If only I were a little older, she thought wistfully. I’d marry him right away, have my wedding night, and make sure no other vixen gets the chance!
