363. The Proud Uchiha

"This is..."

"A genjutsu?"

The experienced Uchiha Setsuna immediately realized he was trapped in a genjutsu the moment he saw the blood-red moon hanging in the sky.

In response, he quickly attempted to disrupt the chakra flow within his body to break free from the illusion.

However, no matter how hard he tried, the terrifying scene before him remained unchanged.

His face grew paler, and his expression became increasingly panicked.

This seasoned Uchiha, with his three tomoe Sharingan, never imagined that he would one day be so thoroughly ensnared by a genjutsu!

Fortunately, he didn't give up.

Instead, he continuously channeled his ocular power, relentlessly assaulting the illusion before him.

Luckily, after relentless effort, the blood-red moon in the sky finally shattered.

But as it broke apart, the entire moon rapidly melted into a crimson sea, which then surged down like a tsunami, crashing violently toward the ground.

Before Uchiha Setsuna could react, he was completely engulfed by the foul-smelling blood.

In his blood-red vision, several fleshy tentacles emerged from the depths, swiftly wrapping around him and slowly tightening their grip...

Just as he felt he was about to suffocate, the world before him returned to normal.

The crimson scene vanished in an instant, and all that remained before him was Shimura Danzō, shrouded within a towering white samurai giant.

As for the Uchiha ninja who had been surrounding him earlier, they were now all lying on the ground.

Even though Danzō had held back, they still appeared to be seriously injured.

Seeing that Uchiha Setsuna had finally broken free from the genjutsu, a mocking smile spread across Danzō's face.

"With your level of skill, Elder Setsuna, do you really think you can defy my will?"

Faced with Danzō's taunt, Uchiha Setsuna's anger flared, but recalling the harrowing experience he had just endured in the mental space, he wisely swallowed his rage.

Fortunately, there was still one person standing—Uchiha Fugaku, the clan head of the Uchiha.

"Elder Danzō, though I am not particularly talented, I would still like to ask for your guidance!"

Fugaku's tone was resolute, a stark contrast to his usual meek demeanor.

Although he held great respect for Danzō, as the clan head, he could not remain silent when his family faced such a crisis.

He would not, and could not, stay silent.

Danzō admired Fugaku's courage.

"Then let us see if your shield is hard enough, or if my blade is sharper."

To show his respect, Danzō unleashed his ocular power.

A majestic, dark tengu armor rapidly materialized around his Susanoo, along with a long katana at its waist.

Seeing this, Fugaku felt as if a mountain were pressing down on his heart.

Having fought alongside Danzō numerous times, Fugaku was well aware of the man's terrifying strength.

He knew that he was no match for the "Darkness of the Shinobi."

But in this situation, he could die, he could lose, but he absolutely could not retreat!

With this conviction, Fugaku poured an immense amount of chakra into his Susanoo.

The spectral warrior surrounding him grew more solid, and a layer of dark tengu armor appeared on its surface.

Most importantly, the shield in his hand thickened, resembling Itachi's Yata Mirror.

The cost, however, was two streams of blood tears flowing relentlessly from Fugaku's eyes.

Seeing this, Danzō felt no pity.

If the Uchiha demanded respect, he would give them the utmost respect.

Thus, to Uchiha Setsuna's horror, the massive white Susanoo before them drew its blade!

A blinding white sword light sliced through the night sky, illuminating the entire Uchiha compound as if it were daytime.

Fugaku's shield was cleanly split in two by the strike, and he, along with his Susanoo, was sent flying like a meteor, crashing heavily into the Naka River.

Defeated in a single move!

Several minutes later, Fugaku crawled out of the river, battered and bruised.

This scene left Itachi, who had been hiding in the shadows, gaping in shock.

He never imagined that his father, whom he had always seen as invincible and omnipotent, would be so utterly outmatched by Lord Danzō!

It wasn't just Itachi who felt this way.

After this battle, the other Uchiha clansmen also realized the vast gap between themselves and Danzō—a chasm that seemed almost impossible to bridge.

Recognizing this, Uchiha Fugaku finally bowed his head and admitted, "We have lost, Elder Danzō."

With this outcome, none of the Uchiha present dared to voice any objections or refutations.

Even the so-called hawk faction leader, Uchiha Setsuna, could only remain silent.

Perhaps, from this day forward, the Uchiha hawk faction would no longer be called the hawk faction—it would be more fitting to call them the chicken faction...

Seeing the usually proud Uchiha finally lower their heads, Danzō nodded in satisfaction.

He lightly tapped the ground with his cane and said, "In that case, let me ask once more regarding the reform of the police force personnel... Who agrees? Who opposes?"

The scene was dead silent.

But in this moment, silence was the best answer.

"If no one opposes, then I will take it as unanimous approval."

Having achieved his goal, Danzō tapped the ground once more.

A large number of medical-nin, already prepared, rushed in from nearby to treat the injured Uchiha lying on the ground.

Along with the medical-nin came a group of reporters from the Shinobi World United News.

As they prepared to take photos, some of the ever-proud Uchiha ninja, despite their injuries, scrambled to leave the scene.

Although Danzō had held back and none of them were in life-threatening danger, they were still left bruised and battered after the beating.

Being photographed in such a state was worse than death!

After all, they were Uchiha—the legendary foremost noble clan of the shinobi world!

If word got out that their entire clan couldn't defeat a single old man, how could they ever hold their heads high again?

Thus, any Uchiha who could still move fled the scene immediately.

As for those who were too injured to move and needed medical attention, they could only desperately cover their faces, hoping not to be recognized.

And for those whose hands were broken and couldn't even cover their faces... well, they were beyond saving, destined to face utter humiliation.
