2024-05-20 14:13:51 +0000 UTCI think its so hard to figure out the algorithm that a lot of YouTubers have come up with ideas about how the algorithm might punish you, but I think that's anthropomorphism tbh. I think probably what happened was just that these videos are not that clickable. We knew that going into them, even though we still had our fingers crossed. Like trans Doctor Who has been way overdone over the last 6 months let alone 6 years. LOTR gay? That's a like 30 year old meme. Sadly just ain't that clickable!

With this and LOTR, could it be you’re getting punished by the YouTube algorithm for the video before those two having The Forbidden G Word in the title? I don’t know how The Algorithm or YouTube audience-building work at all, but it’s striking how those last three videos are the ones with fewest viewers recently
