Overpaints?

Hi guys!

I’ve had this thought for a while, and I keep returning to it—so now I want your opinion.

I really enjoy doing overpaints or "edits." I dunno, it’s just fun for me. No need to overthink the setup or poses - I can jump right into working with the existing concept. Sometimes I do it with my own old drawings when I stumble upon them and think, "Huh, I could change SOMETHING here." Occasionally, I do this for artist friends too, even my 3D artist buddy, who asks me to overpaint screenshots of her models for reference.

Now, I know some people hate overpaints and see them as unsolicited criticism (totally valid—that’s why I hesitated to ask earlier). But there are also folks who enjoy seeing their work reimagined in another artist’s style or getting direct tips on how to improve. Personally, I’m in both camps—it depends on who’s doing the overpaint. (Ego is fragile, no joke! :D)

So, my question is: Would anyone be interested in this kind of closer interaction with me?

I’m still figuring out the format, especially since folks have different skill levels/styles. I want to keep it casual—not commission-level where you hand me a sketch and I finish it. :D My idea:

- I can work with jpeg/png/clip/psd format

- I set a time limit per piece (e.g., sketchy B&W = broad overpaint in my style; full-color art = rougher for big changes/subtler for details/colors).

- Two characters? Either 2x price or half the time per character. Emotions list? Fine too! Just using same time.

- Price test run: $35 per piece to start.

-payment: by tip to your tier price/ boosty/ lavatop

Of course, everything’s flexible based on requests. What do you think?
