To Hell and Back: Chapter 8
Added 2026-01-27 22:54:11 +0000 UTCChapter 8 of To Hell and Back. I'm not sure how wild I'm going to get with this one, but I've got a few ideas kicking around. Let me know what you'd like to see in the comments. And let me know if you want Fleur in this one.

It’s a crime there only 8 chapters of this rn, it’s such a good read. Looking forward to the next!

2026-02-09 10:55:05 +0000 UTCHaving finished reading the chapter, two final observations: First, I trust that these gentle people will be somewhat circumspect when Molly Weasley is back again. Much less because they care about her delicate feelings than because they don't need the minor irritation, or the ear aches. (On the other hand, if they decide to deal with a rather rude portrait just about everyone would like to wave goodbye to, they have my hearty endorsement. Perhaps they could discuss what became of the original Wallburga's soul and how she is being put to work? Of course, simply being rid of the thing would suffice. I'm not overly picky. (Or maybe they should donate it to Fudge, whether he's still the minister for magic or not? Shame to waste such workmanship ?)) Second is my traditional response to receiving an anxiously awaited new chapter: Please, may we have some more?

2026-01-28 15:45:54 +0000 UTCCouple quick things before I finish reading this chapter. First, " Light poured from Harry's wand and glinted off the gold locket that lay inside." I thought he didn't use a wand, having grown up under a different system. (Update: I forgot Harry acquired Dolohov's wand in Chapter 6. My apologies.) Second, my sympathies to Heather after learning just how insane Mr. Riddle really was (and is) as to create a horcrux, let alone several. Also, because I always have trouble just letting go of a question, I return to the matter of Voldo the clown influencing Heather's dreams and how he could do that: I forgot all about the wretch's resurrection and whatever connection he formed with Heather in the process. My apologies. I appreciate that Dumbledore is arguing for not killing needlessly or recklessly. I suspect they will be discussing it again but am glad that it's been brought up. Finally, the bit with Harry finding a way to ease Sirius' horrible dreams (I've gotten that far) was at once rather obvious and quite clever. Should we foresee a later extensive discussion of summoning devils among various learned individuals after this mess is over? (If it occurs, I expect we will hear only about it going on and Harry being called on as someone with practical experience to provide.)

2026-01-28 06:04:05 +0000 UTCI wish they'd point out to Tonks if you're not getting paid, you don't actually have a job. Get her to get an actual job and drop that shit show of one she clings to or just retire there with them until everything is settled. As nothing good ever came of it for her in canon. She died long before she could have ever had any seniority.
