MagicaCSG Demo: Text Outline
Added 2024-08-15 10:47:15 +0000 UTCBevel defines the inflating distance from the silhouette of texts, so it can be used to create outline effects.
Round is similar but will also round up the edges along z axis.
Torus mode can be used to create Neo signs. If the text is not in a separate object, then you need to use A/B material to assign an emissive material to the text primitives.
Comments
higher emission requires additional techniques to reduce noise and converging time, which has not been implemented yet.

2024-11-09 17:28:36 +0000 UTCQuestion regarding the emissive material for neon: Is there a technical limitation for the max emission value? I can go as high as 500 for backgrounds, which is normally enough, but I find 100 for emission quite limiting. Thanks!

2024-08-22 15:20:40 +0000 UTCYou're doing great, great work! This has already become the only modelling program I want to use, if it weren't for the fact that I have to retopo my models so they can work in-game! This is after I used to use Softimage, Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, Wings3D, and 3D-Coat. I don't mean to put down the other programs, it's more like MagicaCSG approaches modelling in a way that is compatible with the way that I draw -- By combining geometric primitives with something like boolean operations. It does sculpting AND hard-surface modelling, and it does it nondestructively, plus I like how the interface is similar to MagicaVoxel's.
