MagicaCSG 0.6.0 Beta: Text, Polygon and Polyline

0.6.x is a major update with lots of refactoring and a new shape system.
Please backup your old programs and files before using this version.
Some of the old features are deprecated in order to support advanced new features.

Text Shape
Only default font and ASCII characters are supported so far
Has extrude and torus modes
Has bevel and round properties

General Polygon
The general Polygon Shape is separated from the Triangle Shape since this version
The boundary can be defined by either straight lines or Bezier lines
The polygon can be concave or self-intersecting.
Has bevel and round properties
In Revolve Mode, the shape is solid
Polyline
The polylines can be defined by either straight lines or Bezier lines
Can be either 2D or 3D
Has line size/taper/shell properties
In Revolve Mode, the shape is hollow.
Textfield
the text is automatically all-selected when clicked.
you can use arrow up/down or tab/shift-tab to move the input focus.

2025-01-02 06:35:01 +0000 UTCBeware of using Flip->Mirror on swept objects. It may cause some oddities, mainly the generated surface not following the path defined by the control points. Flipping it back will fix it, but I have noticed some of my old models that use mirrored swept objects manifest this issue.
