UNDERGROUND PACK: Drill Cave + BONUS Tomb
Added 2023-01-13 13:01:00 +0000 UTCFrom within the guardian's skull, players can discover a cave. Lying in a deep pit just short of the entrance is an abandoned drill. Players can discover this device was part of a ploy enacted by the Family in Emberhill. By rigging the same guardians made to protect the gemstones with drills that bore into the earth, the Family could divert the attention of the native Craglings in order to safely continue mining for gems beneath Emberhill. It seems as though this machinery has been deactivated since the fall of this guardian. Some gemstones remain in this cave, so a band of prospectors has taken shelter in the depths of the cave in hopes of acquiring these riches. Also in this cave is a pond that is unusually teeming with bioluminescent life, perhaps a product of the magic released by the guardian after it was destroyed.

BONUS TOMB
Because these previous maps have been a little small, we have included a BONUS tomb.
This tomb has been discovered by pillagers who have taken up residence, establishing this as a base of operations. They have converted some rooms into an armory, a sleeping quarter with bunkbeds, and a study. While setting up a mess hall, the pillagers have discovered they are not alone, requiring them to barricade the depths until they could resolve their issue. Further into the tomb, players can discovered flooded rooms with decomposing wooden coffins along with several crypts housing the dead. Perhaps there is something in the tomb that makes overcoming the obstacles worthwhile.
