Hey Hey Folks, Apologies for so long without update on my work - I tend to loose track of time...
Wall of text inc:
2buns - Blu shot - the holdup reason
I've been stuck in Tech-art hell(with simulation and porting) a bit as I say - You make theory/tests, and apply it to practice - only to see it fall apart so You need to adjust, but I came out victorious!
(Waiting for my friend BleaterBae to release the vid with results when she's ready!)
"huh - but why not showcase with Buns?" - Rendertime, and complexity of geometry with hairsplines. - each simulation frame takes into account all possible coliders and the more there are - the more time it requires - and since I could use that model to also render out something quickly to showcase results - It would be perfect opportunity to do so with their upcoming 3D model and also have something proper to show! c: [also another charcter i got now, although They are Futa!]
(final runtime of simulation was a little more than 32 hours long - that doesnt include adjustments, and trial and error - but it was also pretty messy one and included landing all over the body which needed to be simulated since it was animated parts!)
Now that Sim for Blu is prepped - I need to just adjust a few time scales and plan shots accordingly for her, shouldbe no problems now (famous words btw)
Maya Porting/Transfering
Another big impact on my work has been my intention to transfer assets to Maya( some of folks already know my woes with Blender performance) - I want to ease the timescale that will be when I move over the pipeline for Maya.
(You already saw some images with Cedrik [the honse man], so now I also got the Tiger!) [ few deformation/pose testing shots included ;3 ]
happy to say - most are pretty much ready to be animated!
There are a few more things I need to do for some characters (i.e. Groom/fur/hair - the moody tiger pic is with furcoat enabled (just rough pass - but it does make a difference! ) ) but those can be done in later stages since they are extremely taxing process.
The Bun model will be the last since that one also requires me to adjust model to be properly 'equiped'.
Also, sneak peak on new Render engine [RenderMan from Pixar]
