That's valid, I think! Milo's forced (kind of intentional) detachment from Nora's new partner is definitely something I personally struggled with for a long time in my own life, myself— it's taken me a long time to make steps toward being more familiar with people who joined my family later in life, and I've always seen that for Milo too. Especially when they had such a professional relationship beforehand. Confusing stuff!

2021-02-24 20:26:13 +0000 UTCI understand perfectly, and as they keep growing up and get more comfortable in their adulthood, the references will start to get further and further apart, which will make the times you use them have even bigger impacts. As they keep growing, they’ll react with different emotional nuances as well, which would support experiments too. I’m basically applauding the use of colour in your work, even if unintentional, for how it supports and reinforces what you’re conveying. Keep experimenting, playing with such concepts! I hope, by pointing this out that you’ll perhaps find other avenues that you may have not thought of in your future work (honestly hope this comes across as supportive and somewhat adoring instead of condescending)
