All I can say is.. wow what a freakin production... what a rollercoaster of a ride... the emotions, the connection with the characters.. all of it. I don't know what movie could ever top this. We are forever ruined.

Actually the first two demon fights on the train were in fact real, not a dream. The whole dream sequence starts after that. It can be confusing due to the way they filmed it, but it wouldn't make sense for them to have a dream sequence only to lead into another dream sequence back-to-back. Also, there was no indication of them falling asleep before meeting and interacting with Rengoku, so it wouldn't make sense to assume they just fell asleep at some point off-screen without any cuts or edits. Just wanted to share that.

I didn't watch the movie when it came out because I was preoccupied with other things at the time so I only just watched it last month and didn't cry (even though I felt SOOO empty afterwards for the next few weeks though I already knew what was going to happen and couldn't stop ranting about rengoku to my friends) + even watched multiple reactions to it but idk why, my second time (rn) watching you guys react to it i cried 😭 i thought i got over it but ig not... hurts real bad when this happens to your fav character in the whole show (and prob all anime in general; the show's characters are just written so well) but at least he got his own movie!! :') i can't hate akaza either bc he's also one of my favs this series is crazy
