I don’t consider Monster as a show for veterans. I rather thought Golden Kamuy could be a bit for veterans but I concluded that they are now good with catching up with comedy and characters that can be extreme. Also, veterans or not, I wouldn’t recommend any if I feel they are not capable of understanding the show or if I thought they wouldn’t like it. My recommendations are based on my observation of their reactions. Anyways, I’m not expecting them to react to the series I listed anytime soon because of the tendency of other suggested shows.

I'd suggest against it. Taking an anime slow makes you think about the anime for the cooldown time, which makes you attached to characters. The faster you watch it, the less you feel for them.

I see others recommending anime here so i'll just join in and drop one. The anime I would like to recommend is one that's underrated but I feel like would be an interesting watch for you guys and it is named 'The Ancient Magus' Bride'. It's very different to what you are watching at the moment but I feel like you guys may like it. The storytelling is simply well done, has stunning visuals and an amazing soundtrack. It's kinda dark ( but also has pure and wholesome moments ), a little complicated, very magical, a little bit of romance and also has great characters. It is pretty short though since it only has one season out at the moment

It is great you plan to do a poll but you could also just watch whatever anime you are most excited for next, don't worry too much about the order. But if you watch AoT first then I'd recommend watching something more light hearted and fun on the side like JJK or One Punch Man cos AoT can be hard hitting.

AOT is a great anime which I think you guys should 100% react to, however, I do agree with a lot of the others in watching Jujutsu Kaisen first. Its a shorter anime with a new movie that recently came out. JJK is both comedic and full of action which I think matches both of your guy's taste in content. And because it's not as long as AOT it can be done first, and then maybe AOT

i think AoT reactions from Ron and Michelle are gonna be really good. They're analytical enough already, we might have to tell them to calm down and let it play out lol. My point is, though, that it's something that is unlike anything they've seen before and is def worth watching/reacting to. JJK is great yeah but it's just another shonen tbh. We've already got DS and MHA. I think AoT right now is a perfect alternative. (they could also squeeze in a running popular anime like Spy Family :) )

I suggest just doing 1 episode a week for jujutsu kaisen on Sunday, then doing 1 episode of AOT on Tuesday, and another one on Thursday. Basically how you're doing DS. Aot has over 80 episodes while JJK has only 24. Just my suggestion though a poll will be more fun now that I think about it
