I cant belive that after so many times this being said, you guys still didnt get it. Explaining the tecnique to the oponent, in this universe, makes it more powerfull. It's a pact, where you give something to gain something. You are giving up the surprise and unknown element of your technique, to gain more power.

2022-07-21 22:05:33 +0000 UTCIn JJK when somebody tells an opponent how their technique works it forms a pact that increases the damage/effectiveness of the technique, in exchange for giving up the surprise factor of the technique. This could be used to lie and deceive the enemy, like Todou did this episode by withholding certain information and giving away other information. But usually it's just used as a great in-universe way to explain to the audience how a move works, rather than in other shows where they say it out loud for no reason.(Bleach lol)

2022-07-21 20:03:42 +0000 UTCI think at this point its safe to give a better explanation of Gojo's powers. I will only be rephrasing what was explained upto this point, so no spoilers, dont worry XD. Gojo's cursed technique is to create an infinity. He creates an infinity in mid-air which is what the barriers we saw in Gojo's last fight against Jogo was. We have also seen curse technique reversal: red, which I assume reverses the effect of that infinity. He used Red in the previous fight against Jogo, and it basically behaved like a bomb or explosion. He used cursed technique amplification: blue, which is what he used to blow the guys arms off I assume, it basically amplifies the infinity which acted like a black hole sucking in and destroying the guys arms and legs. And the combination of blue and red is his technique, hollow purple, which we all saw what it was XD. I said he creates infinities for an easier explanation, but in his own words, infinities exist everywhere in the universe, his cursed technique just brings them to reality.

2022-07-21 06:51:57 +0000 UTCI love Gojou cause he's literally so powerful, but is fully aware that just by being powerful doesn't mean he can change the system which he views as corrupt and outdated, thus why he's a teacher, he's trying to raise the next generation and create a change in the ideology of the Jujutsu Sorcerers that way. He's literally supposed to be all powerful, and show that no matter how much pure power you have there's some things it doesn't help with, not for long term, permanent impact and change. Another show and character that does a great look into how being all-powerful isn't necessarily as idealistic as we view it is One Punch Man and Saitama, the titular character. 100% worth a watch even if not for a reaction thing!

Some notes for the episode (sorry for the wall of text): We actually saw Todo's technique in Ep 15, where everyone was trying to kill Yuji. Todo used it to switch Yuji and Kamo (Eyes closed guy), but we didn't really have any information at that time. Todo is a 'self-proclaimed genius,' so his IQ of 530,000 is self-proclaimed. It's up to you whether or not you believe it, but it's a fact that Todo is pretty smart, especially in battles. This was explained earlier, but explaining your technique increases the effectiveness of your technique. It's a pact calling 'showing one's hand.' We've seen Nanami do it during the Junpei arc and Hanami do it earlier in ep 19. So, there is merit to it. In this case, Todo actually didn't reveal the entirety of the technique, though. Gojo broke the veil. He was spending his time doing that. Gojo is op. He's literally called the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, and for good reason lol. That's why Getou (Dude with scar on his forehead) says they need to 'seal' him, not kill him, cause he knows they can't kill him.
