So I hope y'all are ok with this slight change in plan - but the movie I Want to Eat Your Pancreas was recommended so many times that I figured that it should automatically be the movie we watch for August :D Plus we are super curious as to why that movie is named that xD hahaha

2022-08-26 17:54:13 +0000 UTCHonestly glad it's not a ghibli film. They're great but they're all pretty similar and carry very similar plot beats and story messages so they sort of meld together. Some also take inspiration from books or other media, so the ghibli rendition can be confusing or just make no sense at all like Howl's Moving Castle.

Also, I fear that watching so many modern animes is putting some expectations and stuff in your heads so when you get to some of the older greats you might not be able to appreciate them properly. Switch it up! Also, Pancreas, Weathering With You, they are all drama/romance like the movies you've done so far. I thought the point was to mix the genre so you don't do 5 drama movies in a row?
