He mentioned that Armin's parents created a hot air balloon in the anime, which he "missed the chance" to do in the manga. So I guess he intended to do that but didn't get to in the end. He even made sketches of his parents. They make a cute family. haha

The only problem is, in the manga, "they" were mentioned by "him" to have died in a different way. But they removed that dialogue in the anime. In short, it's a fan theory that makes sense

The staff at WIT studio actually cut a lot and changed parts of storyline this arc from the manga in the anime ( season 3 part 1 ). Don’t know why they did it but they did. I guess it all worked out in the end though. Kinda similar to how they added the extra bits in the Annie and Eren fight back in season 1 at the end. Most of that wasn’t in the manga, like Eren going berserk

2022-11-15 22:31:15 +0000 UTCThe whole sequence with Levi escaping from the MPs to the bar was simply fantastic and beautiful!! I believe it took the animator (I forgot his name but it was a very well-known animator) one whole month to animate that entire sequence by himself. Poor Jean and Armin. It must've been hard having to go through all of that. Anyone that joined the SC didn't join it to kill other humans. They joined to fight titans and to explore the world outside the walls. So there was definitely going to be hesitation on what exactly they're doing and even regrets in the aftermath. The resulting reflection and character building moment was really nice though, and I just simply love seeing the human side and struggle to the characters. It makes things realistic and relatable. Also, just so you know, Dimo Reeves actually had more screentime in the manga than here. You grew to like and understand the guy so when it finally got to the part where Kenny killed him for siding with Levi and the SC, it was honestly pretty sad. Well, for me at least lol. My favorite part of the new ending has got to be the Ymir part. I didn't expect to see her in the ending at all! Her literally growing up and bursting into color while reaching out to Historia only to have Historia fall through and down into darkness really hit me in the feels...
