Just wanted to remind y’all that there aren’t many ways Rod could be lying about what Grisha did/didn’t do. After all eren was able to see those memories of what his dad did to the royal family, along with him turning eren and then being eaten. If we know that him turning eren was true, then there is no reason to believe what Grisha didn’t do what was shown as well.

the reason why eren doesn't remember is cuz u get amnesia from the injection, not because someone erased his memories. that's why Grisha says word for word "This shot will impair your memory" in season 1 episode 9

Loved how they did the memory flashes. Showing the neural paths was brilliant, and that scream of despair from Eren was chilling at the end of it. Poor guy just got completely mindfucked! Relived eating his father and then relived slaughtering an entire family... And poor Historia. Her whole life growing up, she thought she was alone and that no one loved and cared for her. Then she finds out the one person that did was basically murdered, and it was thanks to her friend's father. Everything is all kinds of messed up! Also, remember back in S1E9 when Eren protected Mikasa and Armin from cannon fire by instinctively biting his hand to transform? Then later on he was wondering how the hell he knew to do that when trying to explain it to Levi's Squad? Well now you know! When Grisha transformed, we see Frieda immediately biting her hand in response to transform. Grisha in the flashback during S1E9 told Eren to "use their memories" in order to learn how to control this power, so Eren in that moment, most likely subconsciously drew on Frieda's memories and that was how he knew to just instinctively bite his hand to trigger the transformation.
