In the past Sophie was an old lady inside, she never does young girls stuff nor cared about being pretty, even tho she IS a young girl, her mentality was old. As story progresses she gradually became younger because she became brave and wanted to take action to do something for her new family (Markl, turnip and etc..) Through love Sophie finds herself. The fact that Sophie's mom wasn't really surprised by her age was because she always acted like an old lady in the past so that's kinda fun there.

So Turnip Heads kingdom declared war on Suliman, because they thought that they kidnapped the prince(Turnip Head). I don't even know if this makes sense lmfaoo.
