Per a lot of your guys' recommendations, we are thinking of doing the OG Classic Naruto for YouTube! We will watch 2 episodes per upload and skip the fillers (so if y'all have a list for the episodes please share ☺️). I agree with a lot of y'all, this choice could be great for our growth and it's just necessary for Ron's anime journey 🙌🏻
As for the exclusive show... we are thinking of doing Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood for Patreon. We chose this because I (Michelle) absolutely love this show and consider it as one of my top 5 Animes of all time. Plus it's a completed show and would be easy to knock off on our extensive list!
But of course, we want y'all (Sushi Squad) to have the power to influence what we watch next, so we are doing a quick poll to see if y'all are down with these choices or would rather vote twice to select the two shows. If y'all would rather vote, then we will have y'all vote amongst 3 shows of our choice and they will include Naruto and FMAB (so voting for YouTube it would be a poll with Naruto and 2 other shows and for Patreon it would be FMAB and 2 other shows).

E.g: in Shippuden when Sakura shouts Naruto's name in a certain episode. The raw emotion the Japanese VA showed, gave me goosebumps while the Dub is nowhere near as emotional and is lacklustre.

2022-12-10 18:25:48 +0000 UTCyea this. naruto is OG, but I think the pacing of it all has aged poorly in comparison to other recent animes that have come out. this is mostly due to studios wanting to stall and delay the schedule of the anime to match the manga like one piece so they add flashbacks/recaps/filler episodes. I think it's not really well suited for a reaction channel since it is also a big-time commitment to a very lengthy series. Naruto is not a requirement for someone to enjoy anime so no pressure there for Ron to feel like he has to watch it. FMAB is a goated show with goated pacing so I'm excited about that. If you guys want a short anime recommendation, Astra Lost in Space is such a great show for reaction channels especially. 12 episodes, great ending, great pacing, great mystery that is amusing to watch reactions for. I love it

2022-12-10 13:09:42 +0000 UTCJust let Ron know that he’s been spoiled by modern shounen pacing. Naruto is great overall but there’s a lot of filler and long recaps. It’s a classic and a lot of great shows like demon slayer and such probably wouldn’t exist today without it but it’s definitely got some slow moments and can even get repetitive by calling back the same moments over and over. Older shounen just have those pacing problems that newer shows have learned from.
