Vote for Patreon Exclusive Show!

I can see the arguments for both having something popular being a patron exclusive vs YouTube. On the one hand, a popular anime (like OPM) can get y'all more exposure on YouTube, however I feel like you already have plenty of REALLY good shows available on YouTube that serve that same purpose. On the other hand, making a popular anime a Patreon exclusive can serve as an incentive/reward to join Patreon- and to be fair, OPM is good but not so huge that it will do more for you on YouTube than shows like AoT. But then again...taking into account the genre, while OPM is shounen it's also more of comedy genre so may attract different/new viewers on YouTube...

One punch man is free youtube growth. Vindland saga is not as mainstream but a masterpiece in its own right. Vinland is one of my favourites and there is the 2nd that is airing soon. if you're caught up i'd bet you'd enjoy the weekly release schedule of a freshly baked 2022 Mappa Anime. same guys who animated the final season of AOT and Chainsaw man

My only counter argument to those who d rather see One Punch as patreon excllusive is - it shouldnt be patreaon exclusive. One Punch is gonna do good numbers on youtube. Vinalnd Saga is tho a masterpiece that is not mainstream enough to get the views so it d be better to have that as patreon exclusive - but ofc that is just my 2 cent :D

The manga is great, gets a little repetitive in later chapters, but its still great OPM fun, the animation quality dropped drasticaslly in season 2.... you could tell ther were less frames being able to be worked on in comparison to the first season. They switches studios seemingly as an attempt to save some cash... thankfully they realized their mistakes, and are going MAPPA for season 3, but season 2's action aside from a certain couple scenes were just mediocre, alot of still image panning instead of animation, in scenes that would have been great to toss budget at . With that said, I will admit, I'm a sucker for good animation, and bad animation pisses me off (I am a Naruto fan so you can imagine when it turns to potato animation it frustrated the hell outta me hahaha), the story is still the story, and so if you can look past the lower quality animation, that great OPM story is still there.... i'm incredibly stoked for MAPPA's season 3 though. Garou is great.

Vinland Saga is the best so far... Season one of OPM is amazing... season 2 is what i'm concerned about here.... Season 3 was taken on by Mappa so i have faith...but quality dips hard in Season 2. Vinland Saga story telling is top tier though..... but obviously listen to the poll :)

Vinland Saga over OPM, we need more serious shows. OPM is good and all but its a bit overrated and vinland saga is just such a nuanced show plus the new season is coming out which if you've read the manga its gonna be so good. Its a great satire of the hero genre; nice change of pace from the usual shounen. Also god tier animation and funny af. Obviously if the humour isn't to your liking then it just ain't for you, but most people love it. Not that hard to understand.

In terms of popularity, One Punch Man will always win in polls. It has almost 10 times as many reviews in imdb and myanimelist to both the other two which is why the poll will be a bit biased towards who watched what. I am pretty sure 60% of the OPM viewers have not watched 86/Vinland Saga yet so they default to something they already watched. But in terms of reaction channel content, I think Vinland Saga and 86 are far better shows to react to. It has better plot/themes to discuss that engage the reactors, which will also engage us, viewers. There is not much to discuss in animes like OPM because the plot/character development is very one-dimensional. Even for the sake of channel growth, while OPM is the more popular show, I don't believe many fans would be as interested to see a reactor watch it because again, it's just extremely good eye candy and hype material. There is not much discussion to be had which is an aspect I enjoyed more out of reaction channels. It has excellent animation, up until season 2 because they downgraded to a cheaper studio. In any case, I think 86/Vinland Saga are animes that you two will enjoy a lot more based on your engagement in AOT but it probably will be overshadowed by the poll focusing on audience popularity rather than reaction content.

yeah OPM is just eye candy that is not great reaction content IMO. I think all animes for reaction channel have to have good plot/themes for it to be worthwhile discussing and reacting to. OPM is just "oh he's so OP and the fights look amazing!" kinda disappointed that there are so many votes for it but it's probably going to be chosen anyway. also season 2 of OPM is not great because they changed to a cheaper studio.

Nah, Patreons are people who are subscribers. You need subs to have patreons. As a youtuber your want more subs and likes for algo to boost your channel. Not just a measly $5 for lets say 100 people. 500 is not worth the loss if potential youtube subs and potential long term patreons. People would still join the patreon to see it unedited if they cared that much.
