I absolutely Dislike Erwin's whole.... "lying" thing... He didn't lie to anyone. He's not a con man. He never was. He told those recruits the truth. The only "lies" he could ever have told was when he had to "lie" to the masses during season 1 about why they were going on the mission. But that was literally for safety reasons, and for the mission to actually go as planned. He has this weird... thing where if he's not perfect. And if he's ever selfish... He thinks so badly of himself. Like having his dream. He's not a liar or a con man. He just did the things that needed to be done for humanity to move forward after 100 years. Also, even after watching this show.. I don't know how many times.. his speech.. and the scenes all still make me cry. Just like Him cheering with the croud as they leave Trost.

Without judging AOT and DS stories, what some people watching anime don't seem to consider is the separation about the quality of the animation, OST and voice acting and the story itself. Hell, a lot of people only watching anime don't give a fuck about the original work from which the anime is made and don't ever bother to check it out. I mean, just get Ufotable to do any anime and it's gonna be great while some good stories get a trash adaption and vice-versa. While i don't hate the Overlord's anime adaptation for exemple, the LN is a way way better and pretty solid writing from a LN author : the anime is a terrible downgrade in opposition to DS which is a beautiful adaptation from pretty basic manga.

That will fuck you up 😅 it's not a flashy anime with powers and shit, but it's a very well written tale where anyone with a soul can relate to every episode and the characters in each episode. The show is on Netflix, but you gotta make sure you watch the series and not the movies bc I think there's like 2 or 3 movies. Which are all good, but definitely watch the series first. I can definitely feel that. Michelle was sharing a definite criticism of has actions and it seemed like he made the best effort to sweep it under the rug, saying it was unavoidable. As it was revealed that it was created from more advanced technology than where they (Eren and them) are initially were from. Also fun fact you guys might've not known but.... It’s easy to tell that you still felt a significant impact from the way the story went. It’s weird to get so upset over something that was so obviously a mishap, and I would rather see a genuine reaction rather than something fake/scripted. So I think you made the best choice. ehhh i respect your opinion, but tbh, it really didnt spoil the emotions of ep 18. When reality hit that we were losing Erwin, that hurts no matter what. To add to that, the internet is a wild place, there was no real way of knowing if that photo of Armin was even real or based on true events within the show. I recently watched AoT:colossal review on YouTube (don’t recommend watching if you’re not caught up btw) and apparently that 45 second fight between Levi & the beast titan took like 4 months to animate—4 months for some of the, if not, the best 45 seconds in AoT Also try not to feel too bad about the spoiler issue, its very difficult to avoid them if your not watching an anime as it airs (the internet is full of spoiler land mines)

just a quick suggestion for Naruto too. Theres HUGE spoiler potential for the characters. if u need to make a thumbnail id google the EXACT ep number so only tht comes up or u you'll probably get spoiled some pretty big plotpoints 100 eps+ ahead of time for pretty much every charcacter.

Just wanted to say Michelle's spot on in terms of armins dreams lying further than erwin. Erwins sole purpose was to get to the basement. Levi asks him what's next after that and he says he doesn't know. Also there's that flashback where Kenny says "everyone has to be drunk on something". For erwin, that was the basement, which would come to a close very soon after he got brought back if they chose him. Erwin is such a great character because he is an amazing leader and insanely motivational, but at the same time is flawed in how selfish he is. He admits multiple times throughout the show that he has gotten countless people killed in order to get to the basement. His true motivation was never the success of humanity, he even says to Levi that the basement is more important to him than that. Not to say that erwin is a bad guy, I'm sure he did truly want humanity to succeed as well, but it's his own personal goal that truly drives everything that he did throughout the series(which is why I think adds so much more to his character than if they just made him the standard noble commander type of guy) Holy shit that comment came out way longer than I thought it would

I was just as hyped for Levi v. Beast Titan as you, Ron! THE most hype and shocked I've been watching anything. It is so brilliant how relentless and efficient Levi takes him down. So used to drawn out fights in anime, that something like this, that escalates so rapidly, was such an exhilarating experience. Love how he takes out all the weak points (eyes, legs, etc.) that the show has been slowly showing to us over the course of the series. Brilliant writing!

Also, RIP Bertholdt. Lol I know there's most likely some mixed feelings with him right now, but the guy for the longest time was the face of this series. The one that literally kick-started everything. I remember feeling a bit in disbelief that the character we didn't really know all that much was basically in our faces for so long without really knowing...and now he's basically gone just like that. It's crazy honestly 😅. That and his last moments were pretty heartbreaking for me. Seems he was at least genuine in saying that he thought of the others as friends...just that once he fully woke up and realized what was happening, the reality of everything he's done must've sunk in as he cried out for Annie and Reiner. Dunno, it just hurts when I think about it...

Oh and just to clarify a little, the reason why Reiner was basically off here was not because he has mental issues (he does have those though ofc lol) but he quite literally had his head blown off. And Bertholdt did say when he transferred his consciousness to the rest of his titan body, that it was a last resort kind of thing which implies that there are serious drawbacks to doing so. A bit of memory loss seems to be one of the drawbacks, seeing as Reiner had no idea what was happening when he awoke and the last thing he remembered clearly was him and Bert being on top of the wall.

When watching shows with major plot twists and surprises(like AOT) I want to go in completely blind.
