Sasha’s death was the saddest because of how… innocent her goals were. Like… all she wanted was to be happy with her food and not have to struggle to eat well. She was almost dragged into this war. Seeing it from her perspective, all this violence seemed so unnecessary. The positivity she contributed to this whole thing is such a great loss. I think her death was Eren’s last straw.

Willy had just reviewed new information about the island of parodies we are not sure exactly what her mindset would have been and maybe she would have had more discussions without falco however Aaron kick started without having a chance of any of that, we know the people of paradise also view Marley as devils now that they know they have been oppressing them, but again remember Marley is fearful because of the past similar after WW2 fears and resentment still go on for around 50-70 years ,Aot is around 80-100 and they are emphasizing on the theme of indoctrination so it's not really far-fetched at all too understand aots presentation . It's the same as when I have a history of war that part becomes a role into how you perceive other countries.

Revenge and acting like your enemy isn’t smart to me. Reiner was brainwashed and he eventually understood he was wrong, he suffers for what he did and he wants to die. I beg to differ. What Eren means by him being the same as Reiner is that they are both forced to make choices based on the circumstances that they were in (Remember what Eren said to Falco in ep. 3). Eren has the knowledge of what the outside world is and what the future holds for their race, Reiner on the other hand was brainwashed as a kid. "Better" in your words is subjective. Is sitting idly by having the knowledge that the world is about to eradicate your race "better"? If you're not part of that race maybe. Or is dying trying to negotiate some kind of peace term even though chances of success are next to none "better"?

I was surprised you didn’t cry for Sasha…. I knew she was going to die because I am a manga reader, but this episode, with the music and every movement, made me cry so much. I really felt Connie’s heart breaking and the pain of Mikasa and Armin was piercing through my screen even if there was only music, I could hear them screaming while crying. This was the end of the innocent goals a pure girl like Sasha had, she wanted to be a normal girl and a farmer… I haven’t hated Gabi though. I fully understand her feelings and how she grew up. She’s one of the best characters of this show, even if she was introduced late. That’s why some people think Eren and Gabi are similar, it’s because they are impulsive. Eren has changed but his goals are always the same, while everyone around him has grown up and matured… He killed innocent people while he had the choice to think better imho; Reiner did not have a choice and he was a kid… Reiner and Eren are NOT the same.

Gabi had that attitude towards Eldians in Paradis well before she saw any of these events in Libero. These episodes are just the first opportunity she got to start killing them. Eren (as a child) had that attitude towards the Titans who came into his home, unprovoked (no one in Paradis declared war on anyone when Eren was mom and his town were murdered) and started eating everyone. Their reasoning for their behavior are not the same.

Gabi doesn’t hate Sasha for killing two of her soldiers. Gabi hated Sasha and all other people on Paradis before she even saw them. She hated them because of their race. The people who lived in Marley were not persecuted by Eldians. Their ancestors were. And they used that excuse to persecute Eldians. And the Eldians in the camps were not persecuted by the “Devils of Paradis”. They are persecuted by the Marleyan government. Gabi killed Sasha because they are in a war that the Marleyan government (which includes warriors and warrior candidates) declared on the people of Paradis (after years of actively trying to kill them by sending titans and then breaking down the walls.) I’m pretty sure nobody has sympathy for the dude that fed Grisha’s sister to dogs because she was Eldian. He was taught that Eldians were devils too. So why would anyone have sympathy for a warrior who kicked down the walls so that men woman and children could be eaten by titans?

Yeah Gabj gets no sympathy from me either. Falco gad enough sense to see reason but Gabi chose to blindly ignore it. Paradise island wanted peace all along and didn’t do shit and the eldians & marleyans had been sending titans to kill them then when ahead and breached their wall more than once. The tybur family knew the truth of the island and didn’t speak out against the marleyans going to paradis island to reclaim the founder. But as soon as paradis fought back and eren got the founder that’s when Tybur decided to tell the truth and sent the world to attack paradis when he could’ve negotiated and prevented this by stopping the marleyans from breaching the wall originally. Eren and his friends were screwed over at every level first. To me their actions are justified.

Don't get us wrong tho, Logan, we're not justifying Gabi's actions when she killed Sasha, and we understand how frustrating it was that one of the characters that we like had to die. It just shows how similar this anime is compared to how us, real people think. Especially since one of the main themes in this show is the continuous chain of hatred. The viewers are mad at Gabi for killing Sasha, but Gabi did it because Sasha's people attacked them, Sasha attacked them because Marleyans invaded them first, Marleyans are fighting because Eldians oppressed them, and so on and so on. There's 2 sides of people in this, those people like Gabi, who are swayed by hatred and continue to get revenge, and there are those people like Jean, who wants to stop this chain and understand that killing and getting revenge won't stop this war between them.

Imma just say it, people who hate gabi are basically being gabi themselves. Incapable of seeing the other side and understanding them. One of the brilliant features of Isayama's writting of this show. Listen, the Marleyans were oppressed for a long time (at least that's in the history books) so it 's understandable that they have zero tolerance towards Subjects of Yumir / Eldians (Not actually the same thing if you think about it, but i digress). Furthermore, from the view point of marleyans, the path to peace is getting rid of Paradis and its people. And honestly given their side, it's understandable. Not to mention that now they are probably even more afraid/hateful towards them due to the threat of the rumbling of colossal titans. There's hardly right or wrong in this show. Sasha killed the two marleyan soldiers who were friends of Gabi, right in front of her. Why is Sasha not hated for that? Because you know her side.

I think it's people coming at this with different values for sure. You are totally correct in what you said about Gabbi and Eren. But the way I view it, is both characters are victims of the larger whole. The point in saying they are the same. Is they are both going through the same emotions. Essentially which character am I talking about, Gabbi, or Eren in season 1. Is a kid brought up inside walls, was taught things about the world that are not correct, and one day their whole life gets flipped on its head. Loved ones dying in brutal ways. Vows to get vengeance on those who killed said family and friends. So I suppose I'm viewing it from each characters perspective and the character arcs they go through. Not the literal events they are going through. Not saying you are wrong, or that I'm right. I don't agree with you but hopefully this at least sheds some light where I'm coming from

Eren doesn't know the truth of the world at the start of the series (nor does Gabi) both are "trapped in walls" eren with the island Gabi with the internment camp. I've watched a lot of Attack on Titan reactors and really no one could predict S4 plots and twists accurately. This season is def a rollercoaster with the 2 sides and I love it even if it divides the community. Falco is def my fave character in this season, hes so smart and just gets it. Don't give them such a hard time. They literally just witnessed Sasha getting shot for the first time. You could tell from their reaction that they were in shock. Obviously, their minds are not in the right place to process all this. Even so, they are doing a great job keeping up with the show. As the story progresses, their answers and confusion will be cleared. On your rewatch of the series, you already know the coming events, so your mind picks up on all the clues instead that would be missed on a first watch.

After watched this episode and reactions so many times, I really thought I could chill this time, but it still got me tears when mikasa and armin cried by sashas side. I believe at that moment a question hits everyones mind, who is to blame? Just like jean said, throw these 2 kids out of the airship isnt gonna help to end the war, to end this chain of hatred. The writing of this story is really deep , it shows us how the both side feels when the war happened. And how to end this , there is no certain answers. This is really a hard question, and in Naruto this question is also been discussed, but thats too far from now , maybe we can see it after 2 years. Anyways, love your reactions and R.I.P sasha

I mean this is a hot take on it but nearly 2 thousand years of history under the oppression of Titans and Eldians is something the WHOLE world just can’t let go. Their fears aren’t for nothing. 100 years is still fresh and a generation of people still probably remember Titans ruling over them. In our real world the Ottoman’s massacred Armenians in 1915 and yet 100+ years later, the people of Armenia still haven’t forgotten or forgiven the Turks for that atrocity.

I had the same thought as Ron when it was revealed Zeke is working with Paradis! That Grisha told a fake story about how Zeke turned him in to Marley. When in truth, he had Zeke turn them in, in order to clear Zeke of suspicion. Allowing him to act as a spy within Marley for the Eldian cause. That was my theory as well 😊

Everything will be revealed soon, and just as Zeke said in this Ep, they now have the Founding Titan (Eren) and a Titan with royal blood (zeke), so they can hopefully unlock the full powers of the Founding Titan that way.

bruh im so sorry i love this series yall are doing but i have to say this. All of your questions about Yelena and Armin and getting them mixed up is insane. The scene before was telling you exactly who Yelena was and it was like you guys didnt even watch it or something lol. I get that the show can be a little confusing at times but its completely okay to replay certain parts or pause to read if you cant read everything in the short time the subtitles are on the screen. It saves a lot of confusion and questions if you guys read carefully the first time and get all of the info provided to you. :)

I disagree with violence but this was the only logical act of self-defence that would keep the people that matter to Eren alive. Blame Reiner for Sasha's death for continuing their mission, blame Marley for brainwashing Reiner to go there in the first place. - That's my opinion though
