The "THERE IS NO OTHER WAY" narrative is preposterous to anyone who studies the history that this story is trying to analyze. There actually are a lot of others ways things could have played out. The author even makes a point that Eren's immaturity plays a huge role in how the story transpires. Anyone who studies the subject of what is to come can tell you that for every one of those events, there were opportunities to deescalate and prevent those events from occurring, or at the very least minimize them. Sorry for being vague with the "event", but I don't want to give away too many spoilers.

Sigh... I've followed a LOT of reaction channels, and every time someone watches Attack on Titan, I come across Sean Carroll being toxic in the comments section. You're clearly a big fan of the series, so I don't understand why you feel the need to bring down reactors and their communities with negative comments like this. The dub for aot is great, but sub elitists will always downplay great performances. Yes, the sub actors are amazing but the dub actors are just as passionate about their characters. And like Louis said, Armin actually sounds like a dude. It makes it less confusing to know who's talking. I'm down for a dub only rewatch! For me at least, it was easier to catch on to things because I didn't have to read the subtitles at the same time.
