The Fate series is amazing, the battles and sounds effects are top notch. I'd love to see you watch it & dont want to make any comments that could spoil anything. Except I am sure Ron would love it once he gets into. To comment on the dub, a lot of them are well done these days. I believe for reactors who are talking to each other, while trying to watch what is happening and reading, it likely is a lot easier to follow since you dont have to read everything.

I’d say this if you looking for a show that can replace AOT with mysteries for theory crafting. Re:zero is the show. Fate series is great but it also confuses the die hard fate fans with it confusing storyline (best way to describe without spoiling anything).

Give it a try to Fate Zero, it's very short, around 12 caps, but it's insane, the animation is amazing and yeah, you're right it's a mix of medieval/mythological/hystorical characters and a most recent age, very chaotic.

Fate/zero is basically a prequel to the Fate series hence the "zero" attached to the name. Even though it's part of a franchise, you don't really have to watch any of the other shows to understand it- cause I certainly had no clue it was a prequel going into it and it easily became one of my favorite anime! (I have also never watched any other Fate/stay night shows so can't if they're as good 😅)

Fate Zero is awesome. basically masters are chosen to participate in a war for the holy grail which has the power to grant them any wish and the masters summon 1 of 7 class of servants and its basically a battle royale with historical spirits. All the servants are famous/reknown warriors in history. its so cool and all the servants have stats and stuff its actually really in depth as well.

I’ve already finished re:zero. Even the movies. S2 was a basic isekai. Nothing special. Kinda dry in my opinion. Like I said it’s not terrible just wouldn’t recommend it.

Definitely recommend Fate/zero, its the whole package. If you're looking for production quality or writing, it excels in all regards. Not to mention its over a decade old and still looks better than most shows today. Definitely doesn't feel like your usual anime as it doesn't play into tropes and stays grounded in reality despite its supernatural elements.

Fate was a visual novel where the ending changed based on your choices in the game. There were three main story routes and they made anime for each of them. They are Fate/Stay Night 2006, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heavens Feel. Fate 2006 is regarded as the worst fate show and tbh it's pretty awful, sometimes in a funny way though. The one you start with is Fate/Zero which is a prequel to all three of those shows. So the order would be Fate/Zero -> Unlimited Blade Works -> Heavens Feel. Heavens Feel usually comes last because it's done in three movies instead of a show. After that you can watch any fate spinoff show in any order.

Oh my goodness, I've never met someone who actually agrees that Re Zero is bad lol. The concept is cool but the writing doesn't do it justice and it feels super repetitive. The MC is insufferably bad (I dont care if he's supposed to be unlikeable he can still be interesrting or better written). And honestly not a big fan of the cast, some characters are great but a lot of the main cast is just boring.

The premise of the fate series is a battle royale of mages who summon legendary heroes from all ages. IE: king arthur, alexander the great, hercules, ect… i say with confidence THE GREATEST ANIMATED FIGHT SCENES EVER ARE IN THE MOVIE TRILOGY FATE: HEAVENS FEEL, the sequel to fate:zero. The fight scenes are Tengen vs Gyutaro level, if not better. Ps if yall ever decide to watch it please watch it in sub 😂

I finally started watching Summer Time Rendering (so far it’s very interesting) it has aspects that remind me of Re:Zero (though I’m not caught up yet). I’d recommend looking into it, I would’ve watched Summer Time Rendering earlier if it wasn’t solely on Disney+, thankfully it’s finally on Hulu

Fate/Zero is so good. The style may not be the same as Demon Slayer, but the quality of animation is just as good. It's one of the reasons that Ufotable is one of the best in the business.
