2023-01-26 10:12:40 +0000 UTCA few cool tidbits that are hard to catch in the episode! 1, when endeavor yells hawks's name and flies into the sky with the remainder of his feathers, he actually points up with his flames as a signal to let him know his attention. It's hard to catch but he makes an arrow that points upwards in scene following the shout of hawks's name. 2, when endeavor receives the feathers from hawks at first and throughout the rest of the battle he sprouts wings, but wings of fire are closely associated with phoenixes! This fight was the exploded culmination of endeavor's side arc to atone for the sins he's committed as a father and become a better person and someone worthy of the #1 hero spot that was conceded to him, not earned. It's also why he calls the nomu another him, or himself from another future, where he could have lost himself in his pursuit of power. 3, That being said, I love how Horikoshi (The author) writes characters and what they represent masterfully. He actually received a lot of death threats following this endeavor side arc in the manga about why he was "supporting" domestic abusers, I can see why people feel sensitive about this and rightfully so. But what Horikoshi is doing is not "redeeming" endeavor, he is writing about how endeavor, as a human being, is trying to move on from and atone for his human mistakes while also not excusing endeavor for the sins he's committed. I think it also says a lot about the character of endeavor and juxtaposed against the character of all might, where All might stood after camino ward at ground zero and people cheered like "I knew he could do it!" and when people watched endeavor finish and said "what a relief"

But from mid s05 till today´s episodes its all top tier MHA, so just go plus ultra and push through. Fun fact the part 1 of MHA s05 is widely disliked by Western audience but adored by Japanese audience...so who knows maybe yall will fall into the Japanese part of the fandom :D

Generally s5 part 1 was for Japansese audience (as they prefer that), and part 2 was for western audience (as for some reason Japan doest rly like that arc over the school arc...)

The issues are the slow pacing, mediocre animation, and scenes cut from the manga. So season 5 is actually bad at setting up season 6

His fighting scene made me scream my lungs out lol. I love seeing Ron being more comfortable about being emotional after Rengoku and Armin’s episodes 💕 Anyways, another reason to love Hawk more, he has the same VA as Gojo.

2023-01-23 18:47:33 +0000 UTCThe best way I’ve heard it rationalized is that season 5 took a hit so season 6 could fly. Could they have done season 5 a lot better? For sure. But season 5 gave us the ability to connect more with the characters which really helped season 6 imo
