Commander Shadis kind of explained the hand gesture thing since season 1, you're supposed to hit where your heart is, from my understanding as to why they bend their wrist when they do it is because they're mimicking the shape of their heart or they try to align their fist shape completely with their heart shape.

You're saying Levi becoming titan would be OP? But are we sure about that? Titans were strong and scary in the first episodes of S1, but later they became slow, and their size isn't helping. Of course normal soldiers wouldn't stand a chance, but so far no titan had a chance vs Mikasa/Levi, and if you count them out, because they're inhuman there were guys like Miche, who was also really close to them in skill.

About the salute I believe it was explained in the early episodes of s1 they are forming a fist on the left side of the chest (on the heart) as an indication of dedicating their hearts, shinzo sasagyeo!!

I like it when Michelle said “He’s doing it on purpose because it’s too much” about Eren hurting Mikasa and when Ron stated that Floch might have f up ways of dealing with things (I don’t like it too), but he’s a strong patriot to Eldia just like Grisha and the owl and others.
