Ron, you JUST met Orochimaru for the first time. It's not gonna just explain his whole story and motives with Sasuke off the bat. Just know that he left a mark on Sasuke and expects him to to come seek him out for more power eventually. So you could kinda think of it like grooming him maybe lol

I feel like Ron does enjoy Naruto a lot, but, I also find that during critical moments when one should be really observing what characters are saying he can make comments and jokes which may make it seem like he takes it lightly. However, I feel like that's just his personality. He likes to make jokes and make it entertaining for us which I personally enjoy. Of course this may cause him to miss certain points, however, thank god for Michelle xD. She's always there to help. For me personally, ep. 30 was such a critical ep. with so much information and even a higher budget (as you can tell by the higher quality anime style). I feel like more focus during information building dialogue could help, but, that's up to them on how they want to react.
