Its symbolic of not only the victory being just out of their (karasuno) grasp but also the skill diff between the two teams and even between oikawa and kageyama. Oikawa is always ahead in skill and just when you think you might be getting to his level he pulls off something new.

2023-03-22 17:04:46 +0000 UTCThe imagery of the hand reaching out to grab Oikawa is directly explained by one of the Karasuno alumni watching this game (the guy with the glasses, Shimada, who coached Yamaguchi on the jump floater serve). He stated that even though Seijoh wasn't that far ahead of Karasuno, they still feel so far away. Oikawa is definitely written as the primary focus & face of Aoba Johsai's (also called Seijoh) team. Towards the end of the episode, Karasuno begins to slowly catch up, but at the last moment, Oikawa slips away from their grasp as Seijoh reached their match point. Finally, Kageyama and Hinata make their last point, bringing the game to a deuce, allowing Karasuno to finally catch up to Seijoh.

2023-03-08 23:08:30 +0000 UTCThe symbolism was to catch up to Oikawa and Seijoh.

2023-03-02 03:10:59 +0000 UTCI just love the match episodes! I honestly get so hyped every time I watch them, and I've watched Haikyuu quite a bit. As you watch the show you'll notice that it does a great job of making you want to route for the other team, and that's just a mix bag of emotions because now you don't know who you want to win lol

2023-03-02 00:39:40 +0000 UTC@Ron, that expression at 22:00 to 22:05 was the best expression you've made that had the words "OMG WHAT THE AWEEE--SOME!!!" all written on your face. I must say, this expression made everything worth watching, as it was the same expression i had when watching them cry out in excitement of their impending victory

2023-03-02 00:14:33 +0000 UTCThat was actually a tap. The best analogy would be a game of tag, to which Kageyama was trying to catch up to Oikawa. Tapping him at the back has a huge meaning of Kageyama finally catching up to Oikawa's level. It was actually meant to say "I've gotcha now!!"

2023-03-02 00:05:10 +0000 UTCI never realized how hype I could get watching a sports anime until Haikyuu and I'm glad to see how excited y'all are watching this as well!! 😆 And y'all might have figured it out, but the reason Coach Ukai looked up at Shimada (the dark haired guy in the stands) was because he was the one who taught Yamaguichi the jump float serve - so he was basically Ukai's inspiration/reminder to put Yamaguichi in as a pinch server

2023-03-01 21:57:20 +0000 UTCThis episode's title is The Point That Changes The Momentum. Ironically it's Seijoh's point from Yamaguchi's missed Jump Floater that changes the momentum for Karasuno and reinvigorates them.

2023-03-01 21:33:44 +0000 UTCI just watched the first episode of the new demon slayer season and im so hyped now to see you guys react to it when it comes out. Can't wait.

2023-03-01 21:04:59 +0000 UTCMy thoughts on the scene, is that kageyama has always wanted to catch up to him, and he finally did when he touched his back.
Cecilia Hernandez
2023-03-01 20:20:43 +0000 UTCThe symbolism of the scene you guys were talking about is showing that Karasuno is catching up to Aoba Johsai's more superior team and showing that they'll keep fighting

2023-03-01 20:14:44 +0000 UTCI thought of it as finally catching up/reaching oikawa. Bc that’s kinda kageyamas goal
Teresa
2023-03-01 20:10:45 +0000 UTCThe feeling you guys get from the matches is why I’m here. I felt the same way watching this and now get to join you guys. There will be plenty episodes that will end like this and you just want to rush to the next one.

2023-03-01 20:07:12 +0000 UTCThe grabbing of the back thing was based on a comment that they said earlier in the episode where one of the neighborhood association dudes in the stands said that the score's fairly close but that Seijoh's back seems so far away meaning that they're just better than Karasuno. But as the score got closer and closer Oikawas back got closer and closer and in that moment Kagayama symbolically reached his back.

2023-03-01 20:01:14 +0000 UTCThe mental image of Seijoh/Oikawa running ahead of Karasuno is symbolic of the difference in skill. Karasuno were falling behind, feeling that catching up and winning were out of reach, but they managed to turn it around and catch up by the end of the episode, and grab on to the back of Oikawa's shirt.

2023-03-01 19:54:53 +0000 UTCNext episode 24 …please don’t miss the after credit scene
Lee
2023-03-01 19:53:04 +0000 UTCthe image of them trying to grab oikawa’s back (or the way i interpreted it anyways) is showing that they aren’t going to let seijoh just run away with the win - they’re holding on and fighting back against the huge talent(s) on the other side of the net :]
storm (kasey) !
2023-03-01 19:50:32 +0000 UTCSo to indicate whether the ball landed in the court, the flag holders at the respective ends of the court lift the flags up if the ball is out, or they point the flag to the court's floor if the ball is in. I think you already know how to tell which team gets the point. If it goes in, point goes to which side didnt let the ball fall. If it's out it, point goes to the team that weren't the last to touch the ball.
