I’m a new pattern member, so hello! Re:zero is a top tier anime. It’s above the other two by miles. Can I suggest an anime to be on the next poll? You guys can decide, but hunter x hunter is the greatest shonen, and a masterpiece of a show. Highly recommend you watch it. Trust me, your viewers will also enjoy it. It’s the only anime I recommend everyone watch. Words can’t even describe how amazing that show was the first time I watched.

If having more than one potential love interest makes a show a Harem, then every love triangle romance series is a "Harem". The presence of multiple women doesn't make it a Harem lol. Re:Zero has one primary love interest, and a side interest. The majority of S1 of Mushoku Tensei, Rudeus is around just 1 main, female interest. I get that not everyone likes them, but to call them Harem animes is patently false.

I’ve seen both Re:Zero and MT, MT isn’t even a top 4 isekai. Re:Zero, Konosuba, Reincarnated as a Slime, and shield hero season 1 are much better. The only reason MT is popular is because of animation. The writing is average at best.

I mean i love the show because i know its just a story and not real life so it doesnt matter what happens in it but yeah Rudeus before he reached like adulthood is pretty unbearable but it makes sense that he is that way because of how he lived his past life otherwise there would be no need for character development. The point of the story is that even someone at their lowest can get a second chance. In real life i wouldnt give pedos a second chance but its just a story in the end and the author did a really good job with his character development. Personally would compare it equally with Zukos development from ATLA

I could say the hero one was my favorite but the second season got toooooo slower i couldnt follow it... So the top here was mushoku. Both Re:Zero and Mushoku are both great animes. Re:Zero has a very unique concept and it's really interesting to watch (not to mention the iconic waifus). If we're talking strictly about Isekai though, then Mushoku is definitely up there with great world building and character development (despite its questionable first episodes). Shield hero had a good opening and a pretty good first season. Second season, well I read the source material and it wasn't great and they did the best they could after cutting the season in half. Next season the material is better and I'm pumped but overall I don't think it's a good first isekai.

Depends on what you like and how far back you wanna go. Hunter x Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho are both from the same author and great Shonen. Mob Psycho is from the OPM author and is certainly different but also a good watch. A few others might be Code Geas, your lie in April, erased, and Gurren Lagan. Yes I have but older Isekai ( I think the first ever one I watched was Fushigi Yuugi a long time ago ), I used to give them a try before I came to the conclusion that I didn’t like them cause the quality of most Isekai are not that great. Shield Hero and ReZero probably being amongst the very last few Isekai I gave a chance but didn’t get past the 2nd or 3rd episode. Also I’m a female that’s been watching anime for nearly 17 years now. So I’ve watched quite a few different types of anime and I know which type of ones I like and which ones I don’t like

ehhh I don't think they're ready yet for a fast complex dialogue-heavy show lol. There's a lot of quick subtle jokes and references that will fly over their head I think. Though re-zero is a nice bridge to a dialogue-focused show, it's still way out of the ballpark of all the action shows they've mainly watched.

Second season for sure. I remember struggling to finish the first season. Though, I’ve also seen so many isekais and anime I may be desensitized to things that surprised or caught people off guard in Re Zero, and so it didn’t hold as much weight to me.

Just had a nice giggle at this comment section. People backing Re Zero seem hyped and happy, people backing Mushoku, are spouting nonsense, and shitting on Re Zero for some reason? Both are ranked closely on MAL, and the newer season of Mushoku has a recency boost (newer shows rank higher at first, especially with limited viewership (if everyone saw Mushoku you'd have a TON of downvoters based on some choice content). It'll be a fun little read-through to watch the Mushoku voters cry when their choice loses. I normally don't comment but grow up, whatever wins, Mushoku is in 2nd so it'll likely follow after Re Zero. And hey, Re Zero does happen to be the best Isekai you're gonna get, so can't wait for them to see it. :)

I chose Re:Zero as I think y’all will like it the best of the three. Re:Zero would definitely be up y’all’s alley I think. Though I feel KonoSuba would have been a better Patreon exclusive, since it’s a isekai too. I will say however, that KonoSuba is a comedy designed to poke fun at isekai troupes, so it probably isn’t the best first isekai to watch.

REZERO!! love the show hope it wins but I don't mind the other two either. I will say watching people watch the first couple episodes of jobless is very uncomfortable as the show starts very weird as we can all agree to that somewhat but it does get better as it goes on. Think I read somewhere that the writers of both rezero and mushoku tensei were colleagues of sorts and shared notes with eachother so I think if they enjoy either one they should definitely check out the other after.

I think most people only watched it for you know what regarding the antagonist. It was satisfying to watch the process and conclusion of that but that leaves the viewers very little reason left to watch the continuation of the show because it just becomes somewhat of a generic OP isekai.

personally I think Mushoku Tensei is a truly phenomenal piece of art when the whole story is taken into consideration. obviously as a viewer the sooner you guys react to it the better for me. But I believe that it's a better experience when more seasons have came out for you guys to react to.
