You can definitely see between the two sides, it's like the hero agency is very consistent, where the worst hero is not incredibly far from the top heroes, like nobody is a small fry. But on the PLF, there are borderline quirkless trash and severely OP people

Two words. Mental Health. Not for all villains, but, definitely for Twice. Still I don't think that's an excuse for his actions, but maybe that's why so many people begin to slightly empathize with him even though he is a villain.

You can clearly see Twice is very mentally unwell and was originally just being manipulated and used by the league. That's why there's sympathy. Because if he'd been found by good friends instead then this could have been avoided. A lot of the villains in the league didn't HAVE to become villains. Had someone been a good person towards them in the right moment they could have been good people too. Mainly shigaraki and twice

It’s not really an AOT type of thing because at the end of the day the Villians are all wrong. Overall they’re supporting Shigarki who is committing mass murder and want to rule Japan in anarchy. So it’s not a question of whose right or wrong. The villains through and through will always be wrong. It’s just the show does a good job with portraying perspectives. So you grow a love and caring attitude towards cuz you know them in depth and see that some of them have some kind of good in them.

The only villain in whole MHA that made me sympathize with him was Gentle Criminal. Everyone else , including everyone in League of Villains can die lol. Imagine feeling sympathy for mass murderers LOL

Twice death resonates so much coz we all know or met people like him. Who just lost their way -addictions, wrong friends, or just simply - really bad luck. As sb who interned at prison as a teacher - a lot of ppl there were Twices. It is easy to villanize people who cause harm..but just like people who do good aren t necessarily good people, people who make wrong decisions arent always necesarily bad people ...and its hard to accept, even harder to fully understand - but human are complex beings ...and so is the depistion of Twice, sb good at heart, but bad for society.

I am pretty sure they already acknowledged that Twice was a bad guy.. however they sympathized with him. Understanding from his background and story that led him to becoming a villain. We also have to understand what led the villains to become who they are. So again, Twice was just very unlucky but he too is human, just like heroes and normal people. I personally think MHA did an exceptional job making the viewers relate and sympathize the villains more.

Lol there's no question of who is right or wrong in this. I like the villains and I empathize with how they got the way they are, but they are without a doubt wrong. The problems in hero society, personal or systemic, don't justify their killing whatsoever.

Gotta remember that the league were the only ones who took him in. Everyone else either ignored or rejected him. That’s kinda the whole story the league. A bunch of people that society rejected and left behind so they came together with a hatred for the society that rejected them. I also love the fact that the villains were treated just like the main character. We watched them grow and evolve from the beginning instead of giving us just a bunch of one shot villains until finally meeting the big bad. Makes the impact of these later seasons so much greater
