Well, the reason I feel Sasuke says that I killed Itachi is because he technically did, however he is saying more in the sense of how he perceived it in the instance it happened. His goal was to kill Itachi to avenge the clan and if Tobi had never interfered and or we didn't have the fore knowledge that we do that is how we'd take it. Also, if you fought someone and the person refused to fight you and you kick their butt, it would still be perceived by others that you won the fight. So, in this instance I think you might be splitting hairs based on your feelings towards or about this version of Sasuke compared to the objective viewpoint. I could be wrong, and if so, I'd love to hear a more in-depth explanation of your viewpoint. As the little bit you shared on video might have not done you justice. Still love you watching your guy's reaction, keep up the good job.

I totally agree that Naruto is in my top 3 all time series, live, animated...all of them. Heck, it probably is number one and yes, for the story. Also, the characters themselves and how they're not ever 100% evil or 100% good. You have some that are 90% bad, sure lol but there's depth...there's more to them than just that. I think it has more to do with us having an omniscient POV at this point vs Sasuke's own POV at this point. He still is deep in Darkness and from his POV at the time he thought his brother WAS going to kill him. So he did, in that moment, kill his brother. He eventually learned the truth but he hasn't gathered every string the way we have. That's how I see it, anyhow. Sorry, I know I'm late with this comment and you likely have already gotten similar replies or come to the same conclusion.

You’re absolutely right to feel a way about what sasuke said. Itachi let sasuke kill him. Remember when obito told sasuke the truth that Itachi later verified it with his own words during the war. He had failed in everything at the end and hated himself/what he had to become, so he wanted sasuke to kill him, not just so sasuke could be the hero of the leaf who avenged and redeemed the uchiha, but also because itachi saw it as the only way to make amends for his failures. “I deserved to be dealt with only by another uchiha” - edo itachi (said to sasuke before the fight with kabuto).

First 180 eps are a different studio/director, and aren't terrible but its DEFINITELY noticeable. The show is on a break atm, with around 275 total eps and damn near 70% is filler nonsense... in my opinion. 100% worth watching after Shippuden, but maybe not 100% of the eps.

For one piece I don’t think it is much of an attention span issue. We gotta be honest and admit that no matter how great one piece is, it has a really bad pacing in some arcs or in particular moments. It’s not perfect. AND it’s like 1100+ épisode it can take years to watch it all… adding to that some inconsistencies that appeared over the time and mysteries that have been forgotten or not explained since litteraly many years… Because Oda introduces a lot and actually dont answer much so it just keeps piling up and at some point you end up not wanting to keep being updated about it. I watched it with an open mind, knowing it’s not naruto’s story anymore, but boruto’s story and the new gen. And i personally loved it at 100%. Also, anyone can in theory create jutsus but it requires insane skill and chakra control. The second hokage was a master at creating jutsu that are used even today. But some other examples of someone creating a jutsu is the fourth hokage who created rasengan or kakashi who created chidori/lightning blade. Chidori is btw the only jutsu Kakashi has created even tho he is known as a ninja who knows thousands of jutsu, the rest of the jutsu are copied or just learned/studied

"When did that happen?". Your connection with the characters and the story is much more greater when you witness their progression since the early days. Anyways, that's my opinion. Would you start watching any other anime or series in general like AOT, Naruto or GOT from season 2 or 3 onward instead of S1? Would you start reading a book from chapter 7 or 8 instead of the very first chapter? Probably, but you wouldn't fully comprehend the depth of Its story.

The reason Naruto hits so hard is the endless catharsis you feel watching this show. To me this is the best show I’ve ever seen. The amount of times the build up is rewarded is just too many to count. Think about Zabuza finally acknowledging Haku, the change in Gaara, the endless build up of Sasuke’s hate, PAIN, Jiraiya’s life mission, and Naruto’s forgiveness. Not to mention the deaths where we all grieved with the characters affected. This show hits every single category of life and every time I rewatch it I connect with a different struggle I’m going through in my life. Another thing is that Bleach is another really good anime though so you guys i guess do a vote on the next major anime reactions cuz i think this anime is currently the main one also it has just been selected in Japan as the ANIME of the Decade. I’d recommend Bleach, Death Note, Dragon ball, Dragon Ball Z forefathers of the anime. Would kind of interesting to see where it all started. Something like even Slam dunk similar show to Kuroko is good anime. And yeah just the older the better. Not to say JJK and Chainsaw Aot are new gen’s are amazing but these are to me sort of not as developed as the older ones.

Power scaling is very awkwardly done and rushed but still enjoyable and a handful of epic moments. Tobirama created so many jutsu because he is gifted in this area. Kakashi is also a true genius when it comes to creating jutsu. He invented chidori (A-rank) and raikiri (S-rank) at age 12. If he didn’t accept Sharingan, his chakra reserve would allow him to create many more jutsu. Plus, like Tobirama, Kakashi can also use all the 5 chakra natures and both of the Yin-Yang releases. Only a handful of ninjas naturally have all 7 of them.

I think a lot of the newer animes have a more condensed format and often put quality over quatity. Think of it this way. Prior to the pandeic, TV series used to be 22 episodes long PER SEASON. This was the norm. Nowadays, due to a varity of factors, typical series may get to the upper teens if theyre on channels like CBS (examples: the 3 FBI series…FBI, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI International). However, the majority of the other shows have trimmed down to maybe 8-12 episodes per season. Look at series like MHA …The only series I can think of still going at this many eps per season is maybe Boruto (sill has a few less episodes than Naruto Shippuden did per “season”) I think Demon Slayer has done a great job of world building even with fewer episodes. That anime is up there with Naruto for me (again, personally, quantity isn’t the same as quality.) But I think yes, Naruto has the quality usually AND quantity….The world building in Naruto is up ther with Tolkien …just the sheer SIZE of the world AND the lore. Demon Slayer has not had to use fillers since they wait for the manga to be done before going to animation (well, manga has been over for a while now.) Naruto has had to create storylines (fillers such as the 12 Guardian Shinobi, the konoha past arc after the Pain arc, etc ) because the anime was AHEAD of the manga. In a way, this HAS helped the world get bigger because the author did write stuff to tide over viewers as he figured out how things were coming together in the main story… Again, this is a rare anime…quantity AND quality. Heck, some of the fillers are very entertaining, good even (such as the Kakashi Gaiden you guys recently reacted to…though that’s less filler as in random storylines made up by the animation team and an actual planned storyline by the author.) but in the end, I agree 100%…Naruto is forever going to be a favorite if not my all time fave.

I have my doubts for sure. But I'm not going to say I believe it's impossible. I believe he held out hope that he could change being the main reason he never would. We will never know but say Sasuke was actively destroying the leaf and killing the people in it and Itachi was the only one to stop him. I'm not so sure he wouldn't make the decision of the Leaf again vs the lives of everyone in the village.

It’s not about a single mother…in those times (they call it the Warring States Period in the series and in RL there WAS a Warring States Period = the Sengoku Jidai). During that time (and othersin history) clan heads would take either multiple wives or concubines (not just because they wanted ya know, a harem lol but because of the high incidence of a. infant mortality AND b. death of the woman during labor/right after delivery either from hemorrhage, infections etc and c. if there was a genetic disorer, multiple partners would ALMOST assure a healthy child at some point…unless it was a dominant autosomal disease or an X linked disease like hemophilia) For example, Tobirama…he’s an albino (the white hair, the pale skin compared to his brother and father, the red eyes etc) and he’d have not been seen as a very strong child (albinos have a lot of issues with skin being delicate, there’s vision probems and often eventual blindness) And on the topic of Tobirama, yes…he is indeed a genius. I mean, he DID have to be there to save his brother’s arse. If you follow the archetypes, Hashirama is a lot more like Naruto, Tobirama is more like Sasuke and Kakashi, Madara…well, he’s Madara and crazy haha. Naruto has its own plotholes in its story which brings its value down. One Piece has a more complete and rounded storyline since it is more thought out. Oda thinks of points where he wants to go then fills in the details to connect those points as he goes along where Kishimoto doesnt really do that. For Example, Neither Shukaku in Naruto (not shippuden) nor Kurama recognized each other during the Gaara and Naruto battle, yet canonically they were supposed to since all the tailed beasts are shown later in shippuden to have known each other from birth (Sage created them all at once) Naruto also beat Neji with his main driving factor being fighting against destiny, yet he turns out to be "the child of prophecy" in shippuden. Ironic right? Kishimoto building up Jiraiya's character created that plothole in Naruto's story. The other examples are spoiler so ill stop here. Kishimoto's overuse of RetCon is the only drawback to the story not being the best. The concept is excellent...but One piece is more fine tuned which makes it a far more enjoyable story

They didn't understand the Reaper Death Seal thing and why Kabuto didn't reanimate the 4 previous Kage when the war started. Ron asked for explanations in DMs at the end of last reaction. Explaining it kinda implies reminding them how and when the 4 of them got sealed. Minato sacrificed himself sealing half of 9 tails chakra, and the 3rd sacrificed himself sealing the 1st and 2nd hokage, and Orochimaru's arms That's all there is to it, that's not spoiling nor implying anything and I don't think people did it hoping they would think much about that one part. He dedicated his life to research in order to succeed in war, and that is one of the reasons he understands the Uchiha power so well. Masashi Kishimoto was not involved in Boruto manga and/or anime series because he went into a hiatus after finishing Naruto manga and The Last movie, and then he came back to the scene to publish: Samurai 8. And his latest manga (Samurai 8) failed, and recently, I believe 2023, he decided to get involved in Boruto and now he's trying to fix most of the BS Ukyo Kodachi wrote; specially the fiasco that involves the most important Tailed beast of Naruto. I don't recommend Boruto at all if you have high expectations. Boruto series is nothing but a fanfic with enterprise budget and Naruto's success behind it.

After finishing Naruto Shippuden, I suggest reading the last chapter of the manga, chapter 700, and watching The Last Naruto Movie. I have heard that chapter 700 is partially animated in the Boruto series but I must have blocked it out due to how bad I thought it was.

That's a fair assessment of Itachi. He probably wouldn't have killed Saske considering he spared him and only him. But also there is part of me that wants to say maaaybe. Considering he killed the rest of the Uchiha and picked the leaf over his clan. So maybe if he thought Saske was a true threat to the village. But you also have to remember that Itachi could hardly see and was losing use of his eyes. Full power Itachi mops up Saske at that current level though.

Hmmm, there are definitely anime/manga that are better story wise/character wise/thematically/etc when compared to Naruto as a whole (and YES, I AM saying this as A MAJOR NARUTO FAN, since I was 12/13! It's one of my #1's). BUT, despite its flaws, Naruto is a well-done narrative that really hits on the important parts of human connection while using shounen tropes and Japanese folklore in a memorable way. That's just wrong Ao Kaze, kishimoto confirmed like 2 weeks ago that he wrote the entire storyboard for Boruto, from beginning to end. For the first 52 chapters it was ukyo kodachi who was making adjustments to it whilst kishimoto supervised, and now kishimoto plays a larger part whilst allowing ikemoto (the artist) to make any adjustments he feels will improve the story. Kishimoto has always had a central role in boruto's story.

Right about Itachi. He was sick when he fought sasuke, and going blind. He also wanted sasuke to win so that the village would welcome him back as the one who killed Itachi. It definitely isn’t an indication AT ALL of sasukes capacity to kill Itachi. Also Boruto is definitely paced differently, keep in mind that you all didn’t let the fillers in Naruto over the course of the whole show, slow you down. The fact that you all loved the kakashi fillers I think means you’ll appreciate much of boruto and seeing ultimately, Naruto’s story through to the end.

i think sasuke is stronger NOW. At the time, sasuke wasn't as strong, but itachi was dying - and honestly he succumbed to his illness moreso than injuries, but itachi also orchestrated that on purpose to MAKE sasuke stronger than him. I think sasuke was just speaking for the sake of brevity rather than trying to brag though. In sasuke's mind, he caused itachi's death by pursuing him as aggressively as he did. If he was wise to the leaf's schemes, maybe he thinks itachi didn't have to die. so in that sense he killed him

Itachi wanted to die by Sasuke's hand.....no matter his strength, Itachi said himself that he wanted to be dealt with by another Uchiha. So even tho his illness was the underlying reason, Itachi himself will give that to Sasuke because his battle with Sasuke sped up his death. Sasuke is not delusional by saying he killed him....he simply feels responsible for his brother's death when he saught him out most of his life to kill him but then learned the truth, it haunts him. I believe when he says " I killed Itachi" he says it as a curse, as opposed to a badge of honor.

Naruto is truly one of the best pieces of media ever. I love the world and characters of Naruto. If I am being totally honest, I think One Piece just beats it out though. No slight intended towards Naruto. Its S-tier. But One Piece is insane with how Oda makes the most memorable locations and characters. And he will sneak in a small detail that you think might not mean anything, then 300 episodes later you realized it was super important.

For your Boruto questions: 1 If you only watch the manga canon it'll be a really quick watch, it's not finished so there's only like 90 episodes of proper canon to watch AND the canon episodes are great. Plus, in terms of how amazing the manga is right now it's worth your time 100% for what you'll get to watch in the future 2. Yeah, it's written by Kishimoto. He provided the storyboards (the entire story) and his former assistant now draws the manga and makes adjustments to that storyboard.

regarding sauske killing Itachi. Yes Itachi let Sauske kill him, because he wanted him to return to the village and be "the hero" who avenged the Uchiha clan. Even if Sauske were able to kill him at that point, you would have to take into account that Itachi was deadly sick and could barely see aswell at that point. Also Itachi probably has the most broken Susanoo, because of the shield and the sealing sword it posses. Also have to take into account that Itachi is a genius shinobi, that was so skilled that he became the youngest captain of Anbu Captain in history at the age of 13. Like he figured out how to counter Nagato's strongest jutsu in a minute. Sauske at that point wasn't stronger than Itachi. If we are talking now it would be debateable, but i personally don't think Sauske would beat Itachi at his current state. Sorry for the long message, a lot to keep in mind lmao
