Al might be the one where i kinda agree, but whenever they change the dialogue it gets changed for the better. and i usually hate dub like alot lol, but they just deliver it harder, and lowkey i think ed is too over the top in sub and i see alot of jokes lost in translation which usually the opposite happens

2024-10-05 19:58:54 +0000 UTCIts not only the fact that most dubs are horrible so might as well use em while you can. and youll never here me say this about any other anime ever(except dbz lol) but suprisingly the dub is actually better than the sub in this case imo, and i never usually comment but i actually think that youll have a better experience in english. dbz too lol

For example, if you were to create an artificial body for yourself and implanted it with your memories after your death, who exactly is that person then? In Al’s case, how does one go about proving Armor Al’s self is the same self that was present in human Al? Is memory the only prerequisite, or is there some way of IDing our identity, aka “soul”? For all we know, Armor Al may truly believe he is the actual Al but actual Al may have died on that day. So yeah, although they don’t quite discuss it on that level, I think that’s what they were trying to hint at

There's a hindi word for "ghetto-ing it up" and it's "jugaad", perfectly describes your idea and I'm proud of you for it xD. P.S. Michelle, I don't think you need to worry. The observation you had of that dude kinda looking like Al, is an observation anyone could have made, and realizing it at that point that they might be like Al isn't unusual. I kinda realized too, the first time I was watching :p Besides, it seems like you don't remember much about the anime from the last time you watched (except for Dr. Marcoh, definitely not forgettable xD) and that much is evident from you guys' reactions :p This could easily have been your observations and reaction even if this was the first time Michelle was watching this ever imo :)

They miss things in other anime all the time so it's not unique to FMA. It's hard to both try to react and be vocal about your thoughts while also catching everything. I like the dub too, but this isn't the sub's fault. I'm 50/50 on which is better. Some side characters sound dumb in dub.

2024-09-29 03:02:22 +0000 UTCNot tryna be annoying by bringing this topic back but this Anime makes a lot more sense in Dub, like everything is easier to catch without having to read a bunch of unnecessary difficult wordings & long sentences It might be cuz I’m stupid but the way they’re phrasing everything in the subtitles doesn’t need to be that complex 😂 they could literally just translate it in a more direct & easy way
