It is a futuristic boxing type of anime, that has older cowboy bebop type of vibes in terms of animation. It follows a poor man, who is a boxing prodigy, and has to work with a coach with connections to set up megalobox matches and throw them for money. It is an amazing story that closely follows the relationship of the protagonist and the coach, and all their ruined dreams and emotions. Its amazing.

He's the captain, not the coach :p For the Blue Lock vs U-20 match tho, Ego said Itoshi Sae (Rin's brother) would be the captain. Sae's not actually part of the U-20, he had been playing internationally and had just come back for a visit when he caught an interest in Blue Lock during a press conference.

And one detail here in case you've forgotten (not that it's super important), but Rin's brother (Itoshi Sae) is a midfielder. It adds something interesting to their dynamic imo, with Rin being a striker and Sae being a midfielder :p

P.S. So hyped Blue Lock is back! It shows competitiveness to a level unlike any other sports anime, which I really love. :p
