In my opinion as a huge Naruto fan, and someone who really does not like the direction of Boruto....going to the end of that arc, and stopping (before all the crazy fillers come in) would be a great place to end. Also, some of the best animation in the entire Naruto universe.

The empathy you feel for Obito when you realize Madara is just using him. The fucking realization that Minato killed his own student. The complete twist of Obito switching up and becoming the one thing this war was trying to stop. So many emotions in one episode alone.....and it STILL gets better. Fuck, this show is good

Naruto also said at one point that shinobi are those who ENDURE. They are both willing to suffer if it means in the end they can achieve their goal. That's why Obito's point make sense. Reality cannot exist without those things, so lets create another one. Of course, theyre villains though, so Naruto comes up with a better way (Still wouldn't work in our world, and it still has minor suffering and conflict in it whereas their version would have zero conflict.)

Once he died he wouldn’t suffer anymore. Obito was resigned to his death as a hero but Madara saved his life and forced him into despair. Any suffering Madara went through is due to him refusing to accept death and Obito due to aforementioned stubborn old guy.

Of course, there are repercussions to the jutsu that Madara doesnt understand. It is ancient jutsu that shouldnt be taken lightly. Which makes whats going to happen actually make some sense! People can not like it, but it does make sense. Anyway, exploring the Tsuki no me is what makes The Matrix so great. After all, we get to see people consciously decide the matrix is better than the real world, like that one dude with the steak. Its a good argument both ways, and I like it as sort of the ultimate climax to this story about war, because, ultimately it would "work"

I think its only bad because they want to trap everyone in it...but I think its a very peaceful and humane solution. Think of war veterans, mentally ill people, the homeless, paralyzed, disabled people, cancer victims and others with life altering conditions. If you had the power to change their reality from their pain and suffering and take their minds to a state where they do not have those ailments, where they can experience happiness for the rest of their lives even if their bodies end up failing them, wouldn't u do it? Would you not do it for your loved ones in their final moments? Obito is in pain and so is Madara. Alot of people do not realize this because they are so strong. They both lost the ones they love the most in the world, and each day is like hell for them. I think thats why madara is even right now sitting down and actually waiting for Hashirama to fight him. Dont u think thats strange? Hashirama is the only one who truly understands him and their fighting is how they bond. He misses that and this is a unique opportunity for him. He will not risk jeopardizing a full out hot blooded battle with his old friend. All in all, I think Naruto and allies are doing whats best for them selves and their loved ones, but I also do not think Madara and Obito are in the wrong here either. They are just misunderstood characters.

Even if things are just peachy, and some random bad event happens or even death in battle of one of them...they will always fall victim to their hatred. They would eventually crash out. Btw this 1v1 is among my top fights in anime. The cold, dead silence with nothing but the sound of blows being shared between two friends turned enemies as they have a "conversation" about their differences in ideals. Its beautiful. Poetic even. Their blows mirroring their battles as kids as if this fight was destined to happen exactly this way and they were just practicing for it. The way Obito pushed back his past self to reflect his unwillingness to surrender to Kakashi this time around as a way of showing he is unwavering to reach his goal. He always surrendered because his goal was always Rin, not winning. He wanted to beat Kakashi for Rin to see and acknowledge him back then. With Rin now gone and his goal has now changed to reviving her and being with her within his Genjutsu world, he is now willing to go through even Kakashi to get there. I understand this man all too well :/

You probably wont get as MUCH of the OG characters as youd like, though some do show up. BUT its worth watching as the manga is currently cooking and by the time yall catch up the show should be animated to the peak stuff.
