The WW against Japan for example, was over the moment the US nuked japan. A weapon will never be a form of peace, but a fear instead, fear is not peace, but was that fear that made Japan surrender. In One Piece we hear about for the first time about this ancient weapons with Crocodile and then Robin in Skypidea says that in one of the stones is written where is one and now its confirmed that this super advance battleship is one of them, we know that this weapon has mass destruction capabilitys, but we dont know that the weapon Crocodile was talking about its the ship made in water 7, neither the location that Robin read, at this point we can assume that its possible to exist multiple weapons.

I tihnk the reason you think that it feels different now, is that Oda first had to make all the groundwork because without it these scenes wouldnt be nearly as good as they are as they are now, with all the backgrouond information and the teases about Porneglyphs, Ancient weapons and so on. I still think everything up until now is really good but whats about to come is just reaaaaaaaally good because of the setup

Yes you guys finally got to this episode and watched the reveal of the traitors! Here are some signs actually. You guys didn't see Lucci(bird guy) and Kaku(long nose) get attacked and they were already lying 'dead' on the ground. They didn't have people went to them to ask if they are ok. That's usually a sign that something is not right. That reveal showed that their 'dead' bodies were fake and the pigeon is pretending too. This reveal sort of reminded me of traitor reveal of Reiner and Bertholdt. Vice versa. 😣

Pluton IS the Battleship that the blueprints are for, tho Pluton was already built in the past. The blueprints were passed down in case another needed to be built to combat the original that was built. Kinda like how multiple countries have nukes now, so that they can keep each other in check a bit, I guess. Iceberg can't confidently burn the blueprints to prevent the Government from getting them because Robin is alive and she is the one person who can find the original Pluton or find other Ancient Weapons via the Poneglyphs, hence why he kept a look out for her and wanted to kill her in this moment It's okay if you don't remember everything, the important stuff will come naturally in the story and you'll understand it when it happens etc. You guys are doing good 🔥

No they said that Pluton is the battleship that could be the only thing that stands a chance against a weapon/weapons. So there are more scary things in the world, why the person created/built the Pluton in the first place. So in case of a usage of any other weapon, they would have to use Pluton, in order to fight the other weapon. So the only 2 people can stand against it: Robin and Iceberg, being the only 2 people in the world who can bring back a weapon to the world. Iceberg never could just burn the papers away, as long as she existed, that's why he was so obsessed with her. BTW do you remember why Crocodile was working with Robin back in Arabasta? He was searching for Pluton! That's in case you forgot: that's the same weapon they are talking about.

Oda has been setting up this storyline since Alabasta; Introducing the poneglyphs. That is where Robin learned the location of Pluton (which Crocodile wanting to obtain to become a force that would rival the World Government). Then we got boatloads of more information in Skypiea. This is the same genius writer, laying out the story in beautiful ways, the entire time ;)

Basically, Robin and Iceberg both have a way to resurrect the ancient weapon, Pluton. Robin through finding the original with poneglyphs (what Crocodile was after), and Iceberg through making a new one with the blueprints passed down to him.

Ive been waiting to write this fucking comment since Robin Joined the crew!! Guys, This is the FIRST time Nico robin has mentioned Luffy's Name, or ANY of the Straw Hat's names for that matter. Thats why I was always saying in comments to pay attention because this is NOT something thats revealed in the anime - you have to just notice it! Her names for the crew has always been as follows: Luffy=Captain, Zoro=Swordsman, Chopper=Doctor, Usopp=Long Nose, Sanji=Cook etc. She has always called them by their roles or observable features (in Usopp's case) and this just shows that despite travelling with them and going on numerous adventures together, she hasn't thought herself as an actual part of their crew to this point. Also, if you observed her behaviour, she has always just done her own thing and helps only when their goals align. Take Skypeia for example - when even Nami who is far weaker than she is was fighting and risking her life along with everybody else, she was off exploring the ancient Shandorian ruins. The Straw Hats to her, as well as every group she has joined to now (as AO-KI-JI-{Ron} has stated) has always been her next means to an end to not only hide from the Government, but to provide transport and protection so she can satisfy her own self interests. Subtle details, but Oda Sensei has been dropping hints about EVERYONE all this time! U have no idea how crazy this gets! I promise you guys are not ready for the rest of this anime!!

Remember pluton was first introduced in Alabasta arc. It was the weapon Croc was going after. And here we learn that the Pluton was build at water 7 long ago. The blue prints of it was passed down from generation to generation. The reason being if someone were to find it and start using it whether their intentions are good or bad the weapon would wreck havoc in the world. The purpose of passing the blue prints was if that were to happen then the world would need something that can rival the Pluton. So it can be built using Plutons own blue prints. And for Robin She just want to learn history. But since she can read the ancient writing the government can use her to find out the location of the original weapon. And the story up until now think of it as an introduction to One Piece. From this point on sh*t is going to hit the fan.
