River Styx is Greek mythology. This I believe is shonen. Random fact time people still practice and believe in Ancient Greek gods it’s called Hellenism.

2024-10-25 18:02:19 +0000 UTCNow that the background of the spirits in the tunnel is revealed... it's never explained but the speculation is that turbo granny is always biting/taking weenies so she can protect young girls against the fate that befell those in the tunnel also why she showed up to save momo against the aliens and targeted their "banana extraction devices" - that scene is still weird (especially for a first chapter/episode) but not so out of place with this in mind DanDaDan always sprinkles in some really really heavy/dark scenes/themes about human nature from time to time, such a contrast from the rest of the insane/wacky scenes from the rest of the story

When people who meet often they use Matane meaning See you next time, and people who would see each other daily or expect to see them the next day at work or whatever say Mata Ashta meaning cya tmrw.

Shounen 少年 generally means young boy and as a genre that meaning is that it is geared towards young boys/males. Michelle's explanation isn't wrong since that is the typical "Shounen" anime/manga we see a lot in most Shounen anime/manga.

2024-10-25 07:39:36 +0000 UTCThis episode basically kinda wraps up on what you can expect in the future arcs; There'll be action, comedy, romance, but also expect some sadness (like knowing what really happened that made that tunnel haunted) Speaking of that tunnel! I'm updated in the manga rn but I only just questioned why turbo granny stole okarun's weenie in the first place?? But turns out, she's been doing that because it was her way of protecting the spirits of female victims from men who enters that tunnel. Another info i wanna bring up is about Michelle's definition of Shounen! What she said basically sums up what a "generic" shounen is, but not all shounen follows a young boy or mc who gets stronger. For example, Frieren is shounen but she's a female mc and is already OP from the start of the show. It's kinda hard to really define what a shounen is, they say its a genre that targets mainly young boys' as their audience but we dont know at this point XD but to clarify 1 thing, Dandadan is indeed shounen :))

We gotta go back to the original route!" and the train (120km/h) is the most fastest thing possible in that city outrunning Turbo Granny (100km/h) and Momo sees the train while in the air and when in that moment she has to make a choice between whether she's hold the Turbo Granny or she has to make a parachute and land near the train as she predicted the timing.

I would agree it's like Mob Psycho, mixed with the craziness of Gantz and Chainsaw Man, as well as the appeal and style of Kill la Kill, FLCL, and more.
