Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Episode 20

Comments

I’m enjoying watching Ron and Michele starting Fullmetal Alchemist, and I hope Bleach will be next!

Tanzaki

Izumi created a baby size human body, Ed and Al created an adult size male body, that's what they made. They tried to bring back the dead souls which cost them enter the Truth realm, Truth take their body parts to exchange the information that can let them transmute without drawing circle. After that Al's soul missing a body so it entered the "Mum" body the brothers created, but got rejected immediately. Baby body Izumi created didn't have any soul enters in, so in the flash back he was stay still.

(Regarding Mike & Jake): Idk looked like neither were playing to hurt the other and this was a big payday. Especially Mike. Saw a slow mo playback and looked like he’d retract his punch soon after throwing it to not hurt the boy. Either way, Mike is too old to be fighting that boy professionally, but if this was a street fight and Mike got mad… I’d have been worried for Jake. πŸ˜‚

I think in the original full metal alchemist when they transmuted their mother Edward kinda brought back Izumis son … but not really .. i forgot the details but I kno soemthing like that happens

Dwayne Townsend

What Ed and Al transmuted wasn't anybody's body, it was just some life form that was created from the ingredients they used to try and revive their mom. And Al's soul was temporarily binded to it but it got rejected from that body. So it wasn't anybody's body or anybody's soul that was in that thing, only Al's soul for a tiny bit. That's what I got. I agree with what Ron said, it was an experiment after all and they were basically trying to create something out of ingredients using alchemic science but there's a very low chance you succeed at something like that on the first attempt when you have no reference to go by. In the end it was a failed experiment.

This episode was a mindfuck

True true, I wrote the comment before Ed called her

GentleCrank

That wouldn't explain izumis baby not being biologically hers

mistahsirlance

I love Truth

What if the dad replaced the mom’s body with a different body? To ensure that human transmutation doesn’t guarantee reviving someone

Have we seen any other humans created through Alchemy in the show that had black hair? hrm.....???

I think they created a human body with the ingredients and all went into it and ed just pulled Al out and into the armor

Hey Michelle and Ron, I have actually been way too invested in watching your guy’s reactions (Originally subbing for hxh and op lol). This might not be the place to say it, but I would love to see you guys react to Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0. A lot of people say that it has a slow first half but I think that you guys would really enjoy that part of the show. Even if you guys don’t understand the plot completely y’all would definitely connect with some of the characters(you guys would love the MC). Ive seen the poll where TG won, but Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 are connected really well and would def love to watch you guys react and form your opinions on it thank you for putting out so many reactions πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

this show has a LOT of information dumps, so a lot of times its hard to keep up or remember all the info. Greed and Lust, both have implied being created artificially through alchemy and stated that they ARE human (same make up as a human, etc.) The Homunculus are artificial humans and their "soul" or life is connected to the philosopher's stone within them. In Ed and Al's case, they created a human, ingredients and everything matched that of a human; but Al's soul, unlike their deceased mom is a living soul, couldn't connect to the body, so it was rejected when they tried to transmute their mom.

this is honestly one of my favorite episodes of the series: its plot revelations, pacing, framing, score usage all result in a true rollercoaster of emotions. Honest, heartwarming and powerful.

I think Jake Paul is gonna take it, idk though. I also predict that we’ll see Tyson’s butt cheeks.

I think what Winry brought up about his shoulders being broad, is more about him gaining self-confidence, posture says a lot.
