Sakura has been way more of an asset in this war than Shino, Kiba, Choji, Darui, Lee or Yamato but they are never even brought up or called useless. It was even acknowledged by Ron that Sakura had seconds between being told to destroy the Rinnegan to Madara showing up and was back to calling her useless shortly after. It's not the people disliking Sakura as a character that gets people so heated, it's the double standard that sets people off I think

It's correcting the mischaracterization caused by personal bias, understanding the mangaka's intent even if it lead to unlikeable story moments/elements, and actually unpacking/discussing/thinking about a character's actions/emotions in the context of the anime's world. Itachi even said : "We had a bond, thats why he... " and after that obito kills his friend. Obito knew what was needed to trigger the sharigan and at that moment, Itachi understood the trigger too, the pain of losing what you love, and he is sad, because Sasuke, one day will go through the same feeling.

Yes, in general, I believe us English speakers know what the definition of 'filler' is when used generally (def: a substance added to a product as to increase size or weight). When it comes to anime, 'filler' means non-canon material not derived directly from the source material. Japan calls them 'original' episodes. It has been this way for a while, at least since the 90s. Sure, this Itachi arc based on the light novel approved by Kishimoto may be filling in the timeslot to make sure the anime does not catch up with the manga and keeps the production team from having to stop the anime. But, it's at least, for all intents and purposes, canon material, therefore not the anime lexicon definition of 'filler'.

Naruto of course being one, but Kakashi and Itachi being the other 2. The story wouldn’t progress and have been what it is without their influences. Their storytelling and progression throughout the series was done really well.

Shisui kills himself because he knew civil war would erupt if the Uchiha stayed alive. A lot of the errors of Konoha was Hiruzen's fault. He keeps Danzo around, asks Itachi to go rogue indefinitely and doesn't take care of Naruto.

He knew Danzo would come and kill him/take it. I understand sometimes it's confusing because these guys are falling from mountains with no fall damage and can tank damage like hell. When in action scenes, these things become anime, but with real serious sentimental scenes with dialogue and feeling, usually those same acts are treated as if in the normal human world. Because there, anyone falling into a raging river with no eyes, would die lmao. I hate that they do that back and forth so many times lol sometimes they want to be in the shinobi sometimes they wanna be Latino/Korean Dramas xD

The only problem with filler is the characters that it introduces that never get made cannon. Outside of that it rarely affects the story. Also nothing from the upcoming filler with contradicts anything in Boruto or opens plot holes. Y’all just love to throw that phrase around. Nothing we r told discredits anything we learn in boruto and none of it makes what is said or done in Boruto wrong.

2024-11-21 12:50:30 +0000 UTCRegarding the Sakura hesitating and the manga vs anime, that is one thing where the anime kinda takes an L, since the manga can't specifically be clocked how long something takes as it's up to how fast you read. If I would take a shot anytime when in an anime a character says "we have only a minute to do X" and a reactor says "oh this has to have been already at least 5 minutes now" I wouldn't have a liver anymore. It's an issue in anime where you kinda have to sometimes disregard actual time. This is emphasized especially in older anime like Naruto or One Piece which airs constantly instead of seasons, so they have to stretch out the pacing (hence the fillers and recap) to not catch up to the manga, when newer anime air in seasins so they can wait even years for the manga to advance so they can have efficient pacing. For example, it was 4 years between AOT s1 and s2 so people almost gave up on the hope of a second season

Nemui would literally fight while asleep so Itachi couldnt use genjutsu on him because his eyes are closed. At some point Nemui would open his eyes and Itachi would cast him under genjutsu and Nemui was literally traumatized to the point where he gave up on being a ninja which Itachi was actually happy about since it meant one less person dying because of the ninja world. Itachi got so powerful to the point where he could fight without actually hurting anybody physically which was his version of peace.

I haven’t been checking in with a couple other series they react to cause it’s not my taste or what I want to watch but I don’t go to those videos and hate on it, demanding they react to a different show. In 29~31 days, we get a lot for $5 and they have a lot more to watch through. We’re here to enjoy THEIR journey through this show that most of us already watched. So let’s enjoy what they share with us and maybe in the future, they go back to watch fillers. Who knows? Either way Black Clover update is out.

The Naruto manga by Masashi Kishimoto ended on November 10, 2014. The Itachi Shinden Book is an original story by Takashi Yano and it was released on September 4, 2015. It’s okay for people to like it, but it’s not canon.

But when I was watching the show first time and I got to the fillers, even the fillers of the people who are in the Tsukuyomi dream, I found them annoying. The tsukuyomi part coz I know like this is a dream and it isn't real, but the dreams had gaps in their logic and didn't make complete sense (Like Yamato's dream, Kabuto just showed up out of nowhere? like what? xD), and I found it annoying how the people aren't realizing something's amiss. But I do get it, if you're given your hearts deepest desires, you wouldn't wanna doubt it :p P.S. About what you said during the intro part, your reactions were definitely legit imo, you guys reacted just how Id expect to Naruto fighting Madara, cutting down the tree, saving Guy and Kakashi's eye, and them just standing up to Madara confidently. It was my reaction to watching it the first time too :p Also, existentialism had my dying 🤣
