2019-04-17 23:22:41 +0000 UTCI don't own a Galaxy, but I googled it and it's the same process as an Iphone, with the 3 dots on a video/pic that you click and can download/copy said video/pic inside the google drive application. Try reinstalling the app. Also I suggest that you try the proceess on any PC by logging into your google account then going to the drive and doing it, just to see how it's done on a bigger screen where there shouldn't be any weirdness. As to whatever you are getting with the uploading process on your phone, that shouldn't be happening if everything is being working fine.

Idk why it uploads then but thats what it has to do when I make a copy. Theres no other words that say copy on there so it's not like I'm clicking the wrong thing. So unfortunately it just seems like this method wont work for me

When you try to watch one of their videos, you don't have to do any uploading on your end, the only thing you have to do is download it. Just like the others told you, go into their Drive and choose any video you want, there should be 3 dots next to every video(it does on an Iphone), click on the dots, then choose "Copy". It will tell you that the video was copied to your own drive. Go to your drive folder and can do whatever you want with it from there. If you want to watch it right away from your drive, then you'll have to wait for it to proccess, google stuff... Using a PC is the best platform for this method. Every phone is different so things can be more tricky to do from a phone.

I have my own folder in my drive titled Married2thereal. I was able to copy and upload one already. But it takes way too long that it doesn't make it worth it. I envy you guys maybe my upload speed sucks? I dont know what else to say. Cause when I download like 4 at a time it takes 15 mins. This way takes over an hour and a half for one video. Just doesnt make it worth it. The only option is "send a copy" btw. Nothing says "make a copy". I also do not have a way to do it in the browser. I only have my phone.

2019-04-17 12:48:21 +0000 UTCI think you are misunderstanding when they say "Make a copy to your drive." When you have an account with Google, usually a Gmail account, you also have your own Google Drive account. If you don't pay a monthly fee for a much larger drive, you automatically have 15 GB of "free" Google Drive cloud storage space. So, when you go to the Patreon's Google Drive to get to the particular video, you can "Make a Copy" which makes a copy to your own Google Drive. It takes about 1 second to do this "Copy" process. Then you go to your own Google Drive, and play the video or download it locally to your device (phone, tablet, or laptop/PC). Afterwards, when you are done with it, you can highlight the video on your own Google Drive, "Remove" it, and it disappears (along with the ~1 GB space it uses on your own Google Drive cloud account), but it will still be in the Patreon's own Google Drive. This is what I do, using the Google Chrome browser for best results. A person can be logged into their Google (Gmail) account and their Patreon account, and the "Make a Copy" process is seemless.

2019-04-17 11:31:17 +0000 UTCWhen you are on a phone and you click "send a copy" it says "preparing 1 file for upload" this alone takes about 40 minutes and you cant click out or do anything else or else it starts over. Then when that's done it takes another 40 to upload. Then after it's done uploading you also need to download which takes another 10 minutes.

Video's need to be processed before they can be watched by anyone, whether you make a copy and download or download normally. There is no upload when you make a copy to your drive so not sure if that's what you mean.

What was that you were saying about it only being a difference of a couple minutes??? In the time of about 2 hours it took to download 1 video I literally could of just downloaded everything from their Google drive.

So sadly if that's what's required to watch your stuff I'm not gonna stay a patreon after this month. It sucks that Google doesnt just let you download it without affecting others
