I don't know if anyone has told yo this, but only 3 people in the whole wolrld can make the buster call - the 3 admirals. they call 5 vice admirals and 10 battle ships to destroy everything. that thing has an enormous power, that's why only people with higher chin can make that order. and yeah, back in early episodes , the spanda guy said that Aokidji (Kuzan) gave him that power because of Robin coming to water 7. to make her terrified and give up, just like he has planned. I guess that answers your question now, it all was said before, so a little freshing up your memolre there :)

the logical explanation for Nami to disappears using mirage is kinda like mirror,did u know how magician disappear by using mirror reflection? the mirror or in Nami case her power mirage is moister and bubbles to reflect the reflection of her surrounding to make she 'seems' like disappear however the reality is she is moving around behind the bubbles/moister/mirage/ like how magician moves behind mirror to make audience believe he is vanish. So basically Nami manipulating moister/heat/cold/bubbles that she creates to do all sorts of things.

Maybe a comparison with another anime that you guys watched would help. Invisible Girl from My Hero Academia has the power of "invisibility" but if you remember she also eventually learned to manipulate light. Nami's essentially just uses her "weather" knowledge to affect her environment to bend light in such a way that she "appears" somewhere she isn't or even appears "invisible". This is how mirage works in the real world as well. They are optical illusions created by bend light rays. Even her move in this episode called "Fata Morgana" is a real phenomenon in the real world. Which is a mirage of multiple images of the original object.

If you think the animation and sound effects are getting better now just wait for the arcs to come. An amazing part of this long running anime is seeing the animation and art style evolve. But even though this art style you are in/have only watched so far is outdated for 2024, the story is so good that I feel you never end up caring about it because all you want to know is "what is gonna happen next"! Also it is Aokiji (Ao-ki-ji) not (Ao-ji-ki) 😊
