2025-01-04 03:14:09 +0000 UTCI disagree, the original voices will always be superior because that's how the author and production team intended the characters to be. I'm not Japanese but I can catch on the nuances of the voice combined with the subtitles, emotion have no language barrier, pay attention and you will notice all the subtleties. Lelouch in Japanese is a completely different person from the way the english dub voice actor portrays him. Also Charles Di Britiannia and Lloyd Asplund's voice actors in the english dub doesn't come close to their japanese counter part.

Lelouch's gestures and voice are portrayed better in my opinion. You get to hear the small innuendos in his tone that you can't pick up on in Japanese because we don't speak it.

2025-01-02 05:33:02 +0000 UTCAgree with Letan Vinso's comment on the wrong music. The music is way off and is not how the original is supposed to sound at all scenes. Since the music or usage of none music is emphazising many important scene, I'd really suggest changing sources if you can, otherwise it might lead to a not that impactful experience as it should be at certain some breaking points. And Code Geass has a lot of those. And Suzaku and Lancelot launch has always that catchy spaniish impactful music like in Ep2, you can compare it, since Ep 1-6 are still original soundtrack.

This would be my second time watching this and it just sounded so wrong, 50% of the magic seemed to have disappeared. I wasn't sure but had to check and glad I did and posted this comment. Hopefully they see this and make the change accordingly, it's for their own enjoyment as well! I know the dub makes changed with the soundtrack, I don't know if this is it or not. Some people like to mix dub ost with sub voices but to me nothing beats 100% original!

2024-12-31 06:26:02 +0000 UTCJust noticed this. The soundtrack isn't the same and it's obviously not as fitting as the original. It's almost obnoxious at times because it adds soundtrack where there isn't supposed to be and playing unfitting soundtrack instead of another. I'm comparing the episode to the episode on Crunchyroll and that one has the original audio, it is much much better fitting especially during those moment where absence of music is most appropriate. Out of curiosity, where are you watching Code Geass from? I highly suggest changing the source, because although it is Code Geass OST playing, it's playing at random it doesn't even match the vibe of the scene. The scene where Suzaku is starting up the Lancelot and prepping for his "decoy" mission, you can clearly notice in the episode on Crunchyroll that it's the right soundtrack while the one in the reaction is monotonous and out of place.

The best fighter the best stratigist could die when offguard. + the geass is kinda a cheatcode you just can't prepare for. + Cornelia knows (cause of clovis incidint) how zero uses their own knightmares radar against them and prepared a counter strategy.

These moments are emotional and honest. The action is thrilling too. Never thought of it until your reaction. Yea it is kind of Dune, Game of Thrones, but with Gundams? Yes. Table-chan.
