try to remember. Nozelle didnt pick on her the way the other two did. He def let it happen which is just as bad. but he never was the one to do the horrible things to her. Just tried to discourage her

If she went off to be independent on her own without finding friends/family in the black bulls she wouldn’t have grown so much. We humans are social and interactive creatures so having friends, family and wanting acceptance is normal. If not then we would be depressed and end up doing unspeakable things to yourself because of no bonds. But I can definitely see a world where Noelle rubs her achievements in her siblings face who was always horrible to her tho.

2025-01-05 04:45:37 +0000 UTCIve gone through it too Ron. I used to get not exactly an intense cold, but I would get it for like weeks and maybe even a month, just constantly. Id have a cold everyday and anytime I bent to pick up something my nose would drip (ew, sorry). Just constantly having this feeling of a nostril being blocked and not being able to breathe freely :p Havent had long-lasting cold for this past year tho 🤞. Hope you feel better soon ❤️ Its super cold out in some places so I wouldnt recommend this but going for a walk in fresh air sometimes helped it clear up for me :p The light exercise along with fresh air helped P.S. I feel like the monologue from Noelle about how freeing magic was, was the turning point for her. Before what she broke through, she was talking about her family and that intense drive to protect along with all she has been through and built up, it unlocked something new and when she felt that power, it was all about just her at that moment.

The insulting and coldness comes from the fact that these people think that if they insult this person, then they will hate them and want to stay away from them themselves. You've already seen the same thing in AOT. Eren said bad things to Armin and especially to Mikasa so that they would hate him and stop thinking about saving him so that he could do the rumbling without any problems. For example, he told Mikasa that he has no feelings for her and that the Ackerman's are slaves because they can't make their own decisions and only listen to their master. And also that Mikasa's love for him can't be real because she only saves him because she believes she has to and not because she loves him. But that was all just a lie to keep her away from Eren So Ron, if you say that Nozel is stupid for protecting Noelle in that way, then you have to say the same about Eren 😂

Nozel kinda chose the route to be the abusive(verbally) brother so that Noelle will not look up to him and not work towards becoming strong like him and their mother, join the magic knights and get into any sort of danger like fighting on the front line. He even put her in Black Bulls who supposedly shouldn't have too much dangerous missions since they're the 'last' and 'weakest'. It was his way of protecting Noelle. I'm not saying Nozel is doing the right thing but he still did it to protect his youngest sibling which he thought was right. Instead, Noelle was like her mother and Noelle worked to grow stronger in order to get acknowledgement from her brother Nozel.

I think it's more about culture, what Ron was describing is much more western/European cultural mindset where it's more individual based, and how Noelle is, is much more eastern/asian based. In many eastern cultures, as you know, family and society come before your own personal individuality. I'm not saying one is right and the other is wrong, I think they both have great merit and flaws. I think here in the US we put too much emphasis on our individual freedoms and creates problems for others, whereas in some asian countries they put too much emphasis on the family and society and it hurt people individuality and sense of self and independence. Ya'mean? lol

In front of a situation like the one in this episode, I personally lean on Michelle’s side when she says that calling them out would be a weak, flat action for Noelle. Her reliance on this acceptance makes her more human, not necessarily complex, but human. The reason Michelle says it’d be flatter is that calling them off would mean changing her whole character into something else, and then you’d need to rethink a huge part of the story revolving around that too, because that action would cancel Noelle’s character flaw. Basically what I’m saying is… if you’re not a fan of these aspects of Noelle you’d be forced to change her entire character to make it work into something, and a part of the story along with it too. You wouldn’t be able to change these individual elements alone, so it’s kind of a crazy hypothetical scenario.

That's way too far. And in fairness to Nebra and Solid they only followed their big brothers lead. If he had been nice they probably would have too.

She just loves her siblings and longs for a relationship with them. I mean, if you think about it, they know what their mother is like. Noelle does not. Why wouldn't she want to stay connected to the only other connection to her dead mother (that she never met)? Also, don't forget, she blasted Solid's ass during the Royal Knights Exam. She could have folded then and there, but nope! She stuck to the script and washed his ass, no need to yap about how she's been treated. If he ain't learn from that, it's a him problem 😂

Not only that, she didn’t grow up confident or independent bc she was constantly abused and bullied by her FAMILY, who should have been giving her unconditional love. It’s easy to be an independent teen when you grew up with real support, but Noelle didn’t have that. She hasn’t been able to grow yet bc she had been lacking real self-esteem from years of abuse. It was the Bulls that finally gave her a home and a sense of family that allowed her to start to grow (which is when she started gaining control over her magic and her grimoire really started developing). But praise and acceptance from the Bulls doesn’t just magically fix years and years of trauma and issues. It’s only once she gets a modicum of acceptance and apology from her eldest sibling that she’s able to start to heal that trauma out of feeling like a failure for soooo long and blossom. Not going to spoil anything from the future/the manga, but give the girl some time to develop and grow into her own lol she’s still so young! She’s only now just feelin herself 👑🌊🪄
