If you plot out DBZ as an invention of shonen the first class Big3 would be One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. Shonen is defined as a Hero's adventure story reaching out for Men between 12 and 18years. Since the popularity is a big factor of building a ''Big 3 Era'' you can plot out dan da dan even though it has a really high score. Attack on titan isn't a Shonen, yet belongs in all Big 3 listings since its the most popular and best rated show we have rn.

Plus that elf was playing around more cuz it seemed he didn’t even want to kill JinWoo like that. Also, JinWoo isn’t even THAT much stronger then when he fought Igris because that whole Knight dungeon was only a few days ago for JinWoo.

BIG3 is a thing in the anime community that refers to which 3 animes are at the top in a duration. Also the amount of power the person would have to output to lift the smaller person into the air, would probably kill the person. Also lifting by the neck, you don't hold the center of gravity, which makes it harder. Did you ever see an experiment, where 'lifters' have to lift a wooden chair by gripping it by the lowest point of the leg? The chair weighs like few kilograms, yet a fit person will have trouble doing that.

2025-01-12 19:47:15 +0000 UTCWhile i respect your opinion, this show in fact isn't anything new, anything original, it's very generic, edgy and really catering towards people who like OP, cool MCs. Every generic thing about this show, it's the best, compared to other animes. The MC is the coolest, and his lines, and his rizz. The fights are top tier animated (ngl on the level of Fate, SAO or anything else i've seen). The OSTs are great aswell, obviously that's Hiroyuki who's doing them. If this anime was a original with the story/worldbuilding, it would be a solid 10/10. But it's still right to give it 9, i think.

It would be too Overpowered, if he could just convert enemies much stronger than him, into even stronger shadows. He wouldn't need to fight at all/it would be too easy, he would have shadows 10x stronger than himself, fight his enemies which would be like 10x stronger than him aswell.

No man would be able to hold another grown up man like this XD But even if let's say he floated 2cms above the ground, i don't think the person hanging in the air would be able to kick that high to hit the opponents mouth/nose, because of two reasons: the distance between them is too close, and the hanging person would have to be extremely flexible (like an olympics acrobatics champion) XD

Technically, it had been a week inside the dungeon but only 7 hours passed in the real world. When he was fighting Igris, they cut to his sister making him sandwiches and being surprised that he wasn't back home yet considering how late it was, and she mentioned how she told him there was a teacher-guardian meeting the next day. Episode 1 of Season 2 starts with his sister calling him about going to that meeting with the teacher and he had overslept from being worn out from the fight (and endless wave of soldiers afterwards). And we saw that the ice bears was the first time summoning his shadow army to see how they'd do. So yeah, that fight with Igris literally JUST happened. It's also why he sister was so surprised at how he looked, because his look changed again afterwards.

For me in order to be in a top spot in anime you have to have a good amount of content/episodes. A lot of anime are good but leave you wanting more...30-40 episodes is alright but if you want to be a top anime of history I think you need 150-200 or more quality episodes.

Also when he fought Igris, Igris didn’t use his sword and that’s the only reason Jinwoo won. Also, after two failed attempts he verbally convinced Igris that he should join him and on the third attempt Igris accepted. Lastly, his fight against Igris wasn’t that long ago when he was “younger” or a kid. This was his first battle after getting Igris and the shadow soldiers, so he’s not way stronger than he was when he fought Igris. Just some context that could have been forgotten.

2025-01-12 06:24:07 +0000 UTCAs far as the manwha panels, I think we have to give the animators some grace because it will always be easier to make still images look better than the anime because you can put more time into every single details because you don't have to worry about animating it frame by frame. But it has been years since I read it so there will probably be little changes that I'm not able to notice and with that being said, the examples you gave seem more like minor changes that shouldn't really be labeled as "bizarre" at least not to me but I really enjoy the fluidity of the animation which is something I was worried about so I really can't say I have any complaints so far.

The manwha is one of the best paneled comics I’ve ever read, but the anime has some bizarre direction choices sometimes (like having a flash forward of reanimated Kim before actually killing and reanimating him; or Jinwoo just looking at the ice elf that challenged him instead of getting visibly excited by the challenge). All small stuff, for sure, but it just hasn’t reached the level of the manwha for me yet when I was really hoping it would surpass it 😕

2025-01-12 04:40:39 +0000 UTCYou guys are forgetting that with Igris, Jinwoo failed to add Igris the first 2 tries and only then with his 3rd and last try, he convinced Igris to accept and be his shadow and work for him instead of the 'empty' throne Igris has been fighting for. Also Jinwoo only beat Igris because Igris gave him a handicap at the start and fought Jinwoo bare handed without his sword. Jinwoo was just not strong enough to revive and arise the Ice elf leader. As for the term "Big 3", it refers to the specific era when the 3 most popular and biggest Shonen Jump manga and anime(OP, Naruto and Bleach) were running at the same time. And all 3 of them just happened to be also one of the best manga/anime in history. And they were long running anime that had no breaks or seasons. Honestly, there can be no new Big 3 or this generation Big 3. I would rather use the term this generation "Best 3" and avoid using the term "The Big 3" since many can be sensitive using that the term "Big 3". Some argue that the "Best 3" anime this generation would be MHA, Demon Slayer and Black Clover/JJK.

So think My Hero Academia, why would heroes kill each other? They need each other for the greater good of combating the evil, etc. As for the power level, Jinwoo said the ice elf is stronger that him+Igris together. And the only reason Jinwoo beat the ice elf with ease was because of the Iron. In simple game term, 3 level 9s should easily beat a single level 10

Leading us to believe that he needed both igris and iron to take him out. Igris was a one on one, he most likely could not have beaten the elf by himself. Currently Im thinking of it like a higher level pokemon, you can catch a much higher level but the odds go way down.

However, Korean media also has some of THE WORST fall-offs due to oversimplistic and overuse of common tropes. I don't understand how they can take such good ideas that they come up with only to kick it to the curb. I've seen it in K-Dramas, and having read Solo-leveling... it's the same. I REALLY liked the beginning, but hey, I'll watch it until the end to see if anything changes or if it's the same as the manga. 2025-01-11 23:31:52 +0000 UTCAs someone who hasn’t read Solo Leveling these are my thoughts: As shown with Igiris and with Jinwoo’s failure with Barca, there is a certain amount of attempts one has for higher level summons. As shown at 27:31, jinwoo failed attempts was at 0/3. So there is a luck factor. I also see it like this: Jinwoo was say like level 10 vs igris who was like level 20. Someone twice as strong and with his current powers, the fight was sure to be a struggle (similar to what Michelle said, he had no summons at this time, less skills) Now against Barca, Jinwoo is say level 18 (he mentions that igris is still stronger than he is) and he has a lvl 20 igris and say lvl 17 iron vs like a lvl 25 barca. Multiple decently leveled fighters. The gap in itself may be less, however the power creep is still evident. As you grow in levels, the gap in each level widens. ie. Level 90 and 95 in some games have way more of a difference than level 10 and level 20, despite the actual gap in levels being higher Just my two cents tho, I don’t fully understand the verse yet

And yes the leveled up jin woo used igris, iron and soldiers to defeat him. Its supposed to be a clear indication for the viewer to understand how strong he is. Dont overthink it too much

Weebs like myself watch shonen, Fantasy, slice of life, Isekai, ect but the casual fan doesn’t care for those other genres and just want to see hands and fighting. So think of it as a title regarding a historic event. Other shows generationally have been considered as top 3 etc etc. but the specific title The Big 3 is and can only be targeted to Naruto, Op and Bleach. Imo, from the late 2010’s-20’s Demon Slayer has solidified itself in popularity without argument. People have also argued for MHA, Black Clover, JJK, Etc. There’s also the Seinen Top 3 / 3 Pillars of Seinen which is Berserk, Vagabond n Vinland Saga.

Anime should add their own parts in a fight the webtoon may not have (like Jinwoo catching the arrow) Iron joins the crew! I hope they explain some more, but in the webtoon Jin-woo kicks the sword towards kim chul and also the system sensed killing intent and gave him a mission to kill him.

You got the big shonen: Demon Slayer, JJK, Solo Leveling is heading there after MHA ends You got variety stuff like: Dandadan, Apothecary Diaries Fantasy shows like: Frieren, Re: Zero, Mushuko Tensei. If you want one that can top a shonen the easy answer is Frieren. That show is so loved by everyone it’s gonna be huge for a long time
