You sound a little hypocritical, yes no one told them the watch the dub before hand, but that's because everyone knew that they never would. Maka's voice in the Japanese sounds very flat, and that's why I dislike it. When she screams it's like she put's no real passion or emotion into it. Maka is a very sweet, yet stern character, so I think they tried to give her a sweet voice, but it sounds like she never emotes right when she needs to. This is an example of why you can never objectivly say one language sounds better than the other because langauges emote differently. Despite everything I say about this anime's dub, I know the dub isn't objectivly better, it's what I prefer, just like how prefer the original Japanese no matter what.

2019-08-14 07:34:45 +0000 UTCI listened to some Soul Eater dubbed episode since so many people were saying its a lot better and I couldn't even get through 1 episode. I swear everyone advocating for a change to dub just started with dub so that's what they're used to. Maybe also you should have asked if it was going to be dub before you voted for it? Since you know.... we've literally never watched any dubbed anime on here. I think eventually you'll get used to these voices because as someone who hasn't seen Soul Eater yet these Japanese voices sound perfectly appropriate to the characters to me.
